All that is true, but they will still call it Avengers.

Dude, they won’t replace Avengers with X-Men. The Avengers name prints money for them. Infinity War made over two billion dollars. And not even by fluke. People love that movie, I expect the second one to be even a bit bigger. They’ll just do both Avengers and X-Men at the same time. And have double up on 2 billion dollar names if they do X-Men well enough. I think, if the train manages to keep rolling, the next Infinity War style comic film event will be Avengers vs X-Men. And it won’t be like the comic they’ll just use the name but that will be the thing as they build the X-Men universe alongside keeping the Avengers universe going.

I think Black Widow still being around could be kind of cool. Say all the OG Avengers go away for whatever reason I could see her filling the role of Nick Fury in the movies. Being the secret intel person in the shadows and secretly supporting the New Avengers New Avengers team should be Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Valkyrie. And Iron Heart, fuck it

Well there have been talks of Black Widow scripts and I think they have a director signed to the film but that never made it a guarantee. And I guess it still isn’t but I see it being far more likely now Marvel have proof that people will come see one of their girl characters. I thought it was a missed opportunity that in Infinity War you don’t get to see Black Widow use the name Yelena as a fake name at some point because of the hair.

That last one is amazing. I don’t think I understand RG in this game. I can imagine why it’s useful to block attacks and open up enemies, but I can’t imagine what else you would combine it with for super cool shit When the end boss does the delayed slash down and dash attack are you supposed to RG that and whoop it after? It seems that way from watching it

Dante is the most complicated thing I’ve ever seen in a game. I can’t figure out if the designers are genius or they just threw everything at the wall and was like “The players will figure out how to make it work” I’m not even playing and this looks intimidating It also looks like normal mode is not built to deal with Dante. There isn’t an enemy that can withstand everything Dante can do

I was just watching an LP because I wanted to see the game. Just happens the cutscenes are pretty well done and the weapon delivery girl is fun

In bosses the animals get KO’d. But in general, on regular difficulty, it looks no problem at all. I expect on harder difficulties it will obviously be harder but on the standard setting it looks quite monotonous Also, this isn’t a real criticism because it’s asking tremendous amounts, but it would be nice if each character had their own campaign. That’s a massive ask, I get it, but the switching back and forth seems like a massive interruption if you want to focus on one character Also last edit, the story, surprisingly is actually fun and interesting. It’s nice and different to see the characters in this series actually struggle and be in danger.

I’m watching a Let’s Play and V looks quite dull. Fair enough the streamer doesn’t have all the moves, but not only do the attacks look repetitive but the fact that V is always so far away from the action takes away from the danger of it, too. That Nightmare thing also looks really boring and soesn’t last long enough. I never like big, slow sluggish mounts in these kinds of action games. Reminds me of the venom mutants from Batman Arkham Asylum and how dull they were

GI also has a 5 minute video going over the powers in this game. It’s worrying because the developer is talking about these powers the main character has, like force push and evade dashing, like these are brand new concepts and haven’t been in a number of games already since the early 2000’s. Fuck, Quantum Break had this shit. I think the interesting thing is he said it’s a Metroidvania. Which I really like and you don’t see many 3D ones, but then the environments seem all office based and very drab. I don’t know. I thought this game was interesting in the beginning, but this video has done the opposite of what it’s supposed to do. This could still be cool, but expectations definitely lowered

Guess I should get the Xbox version because it has more butt in it?

So today I’ve been catching up on Justice League issues 13 through 19 + the annual. This is post The Witching Hour event, which I really liked, and Drowned Earth, which I really didn’t. Even though they both kind of fit in too the events of the on going story about the Totality, it’s good to be back on track. It’s taken me like, nearly 3 hours to read 8 comics because they are just so dense. Character’s say things and I have to stop and go “Wha”. And read it again to try get what they’re on about. But it also just pouring over the artwork. Mostly handelled by Jim Cheung and Jorge Jimenez, it is the best looking comic out right now. This is a comic I really enjoy most of the time, but just find it’s reveals and bullet points just don’t really hit home. I love the characters (Especially liking Hawkgirl and surprisingly Martian Manhunter), I love the scope and the interweaving of the story, the really creative ideas, and generally the writing is really good and interesting. But at the same time I kind of feel like it still hasn’t got going, 19 issues in. I don’t know. It’s definitely not a slow burn, things kick off pretty much immediately. But because the writing and ideas are so dense, something will happen like the bad guys get more of the “Forces” they need to awaken basically the god of all gods, but it’s hard to feel the weight of most of the things that happen because the ideas are so dense and, ironically for a comic, not represented visually. Gorilla Grodd gets the Still force. Okay, well, what is that, what does it do exactly, and why has he not done anything with it so far? That happened like, around 10 issues ago and I still couldn’t”t tell you. But then it is supposed to be this long, winding thing. I am enjoying it, but more for the characters and artwork than I am the larger story. Which I think is interesting, but rarely exciting.

DMC2 is all right. You can jump and hold the gun button and Dante fires guns while getting all twirly
