No reason Sony couldn’t let you install the digital version and make the disc act as a key too. Like it does once the data from the disc has been copied over to the console. It’s such a great feature it’s really annoying the PS5 doesn’t have it.

I’m still well into this. Taking my time, just reached chapter 13. Luckily I didn’t struggle at any bosses in chapter 12 - but I have been doing basically everything so was probably avoided a grind because of that. That triple boss was still difficult though but fucking awesome!!! Also, this scene. Beautiful. I haven’t really got much more to add what Andy hasn’t already said but it’s fantastic. Started unlocking some of the ultimate attacks now too - got 7+ jobs up to level 30 and they do not disappoint. Same with the later poundmates. Just amazing.

See that team killing stuff you mentioned goes against everything I’d heard on podcasts and whatnot. They made out as though this game actively discouraged that type of thing & you all got the same resources. That sounds properly shit.

I struggle with this too. I keep trying games in genres I know I’m not keen on or due to FOMO hoping they’ll click but usually don’t. Baldurs Gate 3 is a recent one. I banged my head against that for far too long. I’d have quit much sooner if it wasn’t for all the talk. Same with the 2 Switch Zelda’s. I’m currently looking at buying Helldivers 2 just because of the current hype even though it’s not for me and same with Pacific Drive as that’s getting a lot of extremely positive press - but it’s a survival game and I detest those! Doesn’t stop me thinking of trying it though. Games like Palworld I have no problem ignoring though. Don’t know why that’s different.

Ok, took a while but I got this and finally put a bit of time into GT7. I think that may the be the biggest wow moment I’ve had with a game for an extremely long time. It’s fucking witchcraft. I used a couple of cars I’ve owned in real life and it’s uncanny. It genuinely makes you better at he game too having the spatial awareness it provides. Im now want at selling my Xbox steering wheel and buying the PS5 equivalent. That’s the only drawback, it feels really weird feeling like you’re in a car but using the pad. I’ve got to say the eye tracking doesn’t work in this game either. I can only imagine it’s disabled? If you use your eyes to look in the mirrors or at the Rev counter etc it’s extremely blurry. Move your head though and they focus really well. Shame. Also played a bit of Thumper. Not as wow worthy obviously. But still feels pretty incredible being right “in there”. Adds another layer missing when playing just in the TV. A lot more tiring though. The hardware feels really good too just got to say. The headphones do an excellent job of faking surround sound as well considering they’re just in ear pieces.

If we get a group together on here I might buy it. I made the mistake of watching Starship Troopers earlier since it’s back in public consciousness and now I stupidly really want to play this. Even though I know it’s probably not for me… send help.

Used to power through. At some point I realised it’s not worth it. There’s not been any game I’ve not loved after 10-15 hours but did by the end. I’ve barely got time for the games I do like to bother with the ones which don’t click within that time. If it’s a game I’m not sure about I always buy physical or on sale anyway so the expense isn’t such an issue at that point.

Fuck ‘em. Let it die. I want Rocksteady to survive but fuck WB, this game & everything it represents. No “big” or AAA game has succeeded in that space. It’s always relatively smaller projects. Learn from that.

Guess there’s no point in negotiating longer if they’re going to take them around a year again to get it to PC/other formats anyway.

YESSS!! Go on lad. I’m going to buy it on PS5 just to give it more support. Plus I bet the haptics will add another layer to the experience.

I actually really liked how they went weird with the story and changed bits. They kept the main beats I wanted to see updated but changed enough to where I didn’t know exactly what was going to happen next. The open world stuff is what I’m most worried about. So I’ll probably be the opposite to them. People say the original was open world. But it really wasn’t. Sure it had the over world but really you just travelled to a few points of interest. It was more a means of getting you to other towns rather than a space to actually do anything in so I’m worried what generic open world busy work crap they’re going to fill it with. Not stopping me getting excited though.

Surely it means any VR games on PC will work on it when plugged in like on Quest 3?

I’m going in blind. Got it pre-ordered and been a proper sad bastard and even took Friday and Monday off from work next week so I can binge it! Can’t wait. Not done that for a game in literal years! Just glad to see it’s not broken at all going from those scores. That was my only concern after the poor performance talk from the demo. & playing FFXVI demo and that looking like shit or being a stuttery mess.

Excellent news. I managed to get mine for a smidge under £300. Still pricey but thought it was a deal I couldn’t turn down. But even at that price the offerings are incredible thin on PS5 to the point I immediately regretted it even at that price. & was going to sell asap and save for a Quest 3. But if they allow it to work in PC I may end up keeping it.
