How the fuck do I kill that Ouroborus boss? I can't work it out for the life of me. Do I just need to grind on the Womb of Despair for a while? I think I'm about 4 floors into that.

I liked it a lot. Some of the dialogue was super cheesy at times, and some of the sub stories went a bit along the fan service lines with the women getting all flustered around the MC. The combat is real nice and reminiscent of the Tales of... series so if you like them you'll eat it up. However, it suffers from truly horrendous frame rate drops when a lot's happening in battle (magic explosions etc) and the game comes to a complete crawl at times, especially in the later chapters. Other than those complaints though I had a blast. Fun characters and story, nice combat, interesting (albeit small) world, and it only took me around 32 hours so wasn't too taxing. There's a lot of extra stuff to do too, but I had to get it finished for a review video so only really dipped my toe into that. Personally I'd get Octopath Traveller and Dragon Quest first, then pick this up in a sale for around £20. Hopefully by then the frame rate issues will be patched out too, and for £20 you'll be very happy with it.

I really enjoyed it right up until the final couple of hours, then it all went to shit for me.

I'm tempted to go back to this myself now. I just did Vicar Amelia then got distracted by other stuff.

To be fair each of my videos are an hour of playtime cut into 20 minute videos so pretty useless for walkthroughs anyway. With the exception of boss battles. They’re good for boss battles. I think.

At least I get to a hill, then I just slide down it on a helicopter door.

I feel like half of TLJ is a fantastic movie, and the other half of it is prequel level shite. Loved VII and looking forward to IX, I’m just hoping it isn’t two hours of retconning TLJ then forcing a mystery box ending.

Honestly, all of that makes me happy. I have a feeling they'll end up doing something similar with the Leia stuff to what they did with Paul Walker for Fast 7. I'm just glad Benicio Del Toro isn't gonna be in this one.

I absolutely adore this game. I played it back when it was first out on PS4 so haven't got to experience the new localisation and VO (if you thought the new stuff was bad you're lucky you didn't get it first time through). It was by first introduction to the Ys series despite seeing the name kicking around on Steam sales for years and oh man do I regret not giving the series a look sooner. I've played a few since VIII but VIII is hands down my favourites, and for my money the best action adventure/RPG on PS4.

It took him a long while to be able to do that. We had some old videos that I took down due to bad lighting, shitty angles, and Sly wouldn't stop crying. Too many weird fetish types watching it, ruined the fun.
