  1. Sometimes the standard Anodyne spell is a better call as its a a lot quicker to cast in the heat of a battle... depends if the pawn is set to medicent or not.
  2. Go to Devilfire Grove.... see if that Drake's easy.
  3. You'll sometimes lose escort missions if you progress the story but apart from the xp and quest rewards it won't cost you anything to miss them (i didnt really do any of them).
  4. The gold idol is a quest reward... its a one shot thing and there's a good chance you may have misssed it.
  5. Those are the only two classes I've not tried.... I've never used Warrior pawns either. Keep the updates coming you two, there fun to read.
  6. Yes you can... and its so much easier.
  7. If you fill up flasks with the spring water you can use that to heal the entire party.... works really well on low to mid level parties, just don't give any to your pawns.... theyll spunk it all on minor injuries. If you've done the Griffin quest did you get your third Golem?.
  8. Gold may seem meaningless at the minute but some of the high level equipment you can buy later on can put a dent in your purse. Little tip for you.... there's three healing springs dotted around the map .... make sure you have a lot of empty flasks with you if you come across one (if you haven't already).
  9. Yeah they are more important in the dlc... their more easy to come by over there too.
  10. Ha... didn't even catch the Rift Crystals/Discipline points mix up.... good call.
  11. That's the problem with playing offline, its a damn sight harder to get decent amounts of RC due to no-one renting your pawn. I'd advise against spending 70 levels as Fighter or straight up strength classes only to try changing to a Mage as you'd have rubbish magic stats, obviously. Good gear can only compensate so much afterall. I'm pretty certain Magic Archer has fairly balanced stat gains though.
  12. There's one near Bluemoon Tower in the Northeast.... you'll head there with the storyline if you've not been already.
  13. Pretty certain that the Magic Archer does sacrifice some attack power.... i'll take that for the lock on though. Also... last Golem?.
  14. In regards to hired Pawns, yes you have to replace them as they don't level with you.... if your using the online pawns the idea is to release them then you can try to re-hire them in which case if their owners had leveled them more that would be updated. As for vocations... active skills learned can be used with any vocation so you can mix and match to your hearts content, weapon skills can generally only be used with the vocation you learned it from.... with a few exceptions where the skills are shared between classes. Some Mage spells are shared with the Sorcerer, you won't have to learn them twice... but you'll never be a spellcasting Fighter, I'm afraid.
  15. Some of those collectable quests are made easier as you'll get rewarded a big chunk of the total you need from some other quests (that makes no sense...sorry)... plus you can always forge any extras you need.
  16. Sounds about right, he can be a right stingy twat at times.
  17. He's the first real test in the game... its such a relief when he finally kicks it. Did you get anything Dragon Forged?.
  18. Finished my first run through of the dlc... didn't have too many problems with the last boss (maybe because I was an Archer class?), now I've noticed that the mission marker is still present at Bitterblack Isle so maybe it requires two run throughs to complete entirely? Anyway went a little way in again and its changed up some... harder enemies for one.
  19. As far as i know Dragon's Dogma got updated to Dark Arisen on LIVE.... so i'd imagine there's only one version on Raptr.
  20. Bob.... i pretty much did the same as you, although i ran in and murdered those mages before the GoreCyclops broke their chains... then legged it back up top to kill everything else. Still can't stand toe to toe with one of those fucking things let alone two. Monkey... my main character is a magic archer although they've had stints as a fighter, strider and sorcerer. My pawn is a straight up damage dealing sorcerer but has been a fighter and is also a maxed out mage....she's set out as a Scather primary and Guardian secondary.
  21. Made some more progress with Bitterblack today, beat up some Lich dude who had a pet Cursed Dragon, had a run in with Death then cleared a room with two giant GoreCyclopse, Mages and Succubi... up to around level 92/93 now. Also found a nice new staff for Tika.
  22. Wow... can't wait to get to that part... what level did you finish up at?.
  23. You'll be able to bitch slap certain enemies after a point but stronger versions will appear in various places. I've made progress at Bitterblack... got revenge on the bloody eye thing and opened up the first shortcut. Looking at some of the noticeboard quests its adding dlc creatures into the main game locations (GoreCyclopse in Soulflayer Canyon... nice), can't say I've grabbed much decent gear though.
  24. I'd say its worth it to swap about for the different augments that unlock...my Magic Archer character has augments from Fighter, Warrior, Mage and Sorcerer active at the minute.
  25. The game pretty much encourages changing up your vocation... you'll just be abit shafted if you spend the entire game as a Warrior then switch to a Sorcerer right at the end
