After an initially very slow download, my copy patched itself last night and I booted it up to make sure my save was still there (it wasn't for some reason, had to download it from the cloud) and remembered why I stopped as I'm still on that mission where you have to hide a car somewhere. No clue whatsoever.

Anyway as far as I know I'm free all today if anyone wants to do some online.

I'll have an aneurysm playing this game. When it does happen make sure my gravestone is engraved "Fuck you useless cunts". :P

ha!

do you take the project management role very seriously then?

It's his positivity, constant encouragement and inspirational leadership qualities that keep me coming back for more.

you see, I've played online stuff with Sly before, so I can't tell if you're serious, and he's rallying the troops.... or... if it's an education in colourful usage of the English language.

Find a four door car. Doesn't have to be anything special as likely you won't be using it to run from the police. Park it in any parking spaces you see where there's other cars, it has to be off road so look for a little shopping plaza or multistory carpark. Once you've parked up call whoever you are using as a getaway driver. I think usually it's Franklin. Instead of the usual options when you ring someone it'll have an option to tell them the location of the car you've just stashed.

Partly both. Sometimes it's encouragement, but most of last night were orders. Team games where people don't follow a plan or follow orders are the equivalent of everyone holding hands and then one dumb fucker putting his fingers in an electrical socket. While it doesn't really matter in online shooters because you just respawn, in GTAV you get one go before having to do all that shit over again, so when someone fucks up everyone feels it much harder than they would in an other game. Sometimes it's just accidents and nothing can be done, but when you have a clear easy objective like escorting a vehicle to safety or just simply not dying so the other people can do what they have to do then I get pissed off. Sometimes it's like watching a monkey play with a grenade, you know it's going to fuck up at some point and while you're watching it you cringe every time it comes closer to causing everyones demise.

Not that I'm perfect, I've clearly fucked up numerous times whilst doing these heists. I've taken my eye off the ball and seen the escape plane get destroyed. I've dunked the chopper into the sea when all I had to do was land and I've fired weapons in stealth missions that weren't suppressed. Plus I've had stuff where the games just decided to do me over, random drivers getting spooked and causing issues or cops randomly running into me causing a wanted level when it was their fault. I'm not totally infallible, just more infallible than the guys I'm playing with. ;)

I'd actually like to see how far my current crew would get if you substituted me out for someone like Hendo or someone else that's not particularly skilled at the game. I'd watch that stream for sure, I think it'd be hilarious because I wouldn't be the one suffering.

Anything from Simeon apart from GTA today. they're all car destroying or car collecting missions. Dead easy.

Anything from Gerald is doable, but you might want to work on your shooting Gerald's missions are either hits on rival drug dealers or interrupting drug deals and stealing the product. Some of the later ones are pretty tough, but if you know what you're doing you can be in and out with minimal fuss.

Lamarr's jobs are a combination of Gerald's and Simeon's jobs. Some of them are doable but I wouldn't recommend trying the 18 wheeler stuff, they need a bit of coordination to do.

Martin's jobs are a no no. You want at least a few people in the game with you.

Ron's jobs often require you to have 2 people in the lobby to start, so I wouldn't bother with those.

Do some races and parachuting. You get XP for them and you can get a feel for different cars and see which ones you like which will come in handy further down the line when it comes to buying these things.

Those fights with Hendo were pretty fun, we spent about 5 minutes in a storm drain plugging each other. That splat was special though. We as a group have had a few of those shoot outs now. Me, Small and Troma recreated Chase HQ by placing a bounty on my head and racing across the coastal roads avoiding the cops while shooting at each other.

One thing I do actually miss from recent GTA games is the Chase HQ style stuff. I remember the cop car missions in the earlier games had you ramming speeding suspects off the road, and I always found them a lot of fun. I'd be happy to pay if Rockstar added some kind of DLC mode for it.

To be fair, both me and Small have had more than our fair share of suffering, depending on who we get teamed up with :fist:

The vigilante missions? All the work jobs had stuff like that you could do and I totally hadn't noticed that they'd taken them out until you mentioned it. You can still do taxi stuff but I think the ambulance, fire engine and vigilante stuff has been totally done away with.

It'd be ace if you could do those in the overworld online, it'd be nice to see folks actually doing anything other than acting like dicks to one another when you go in random lobbies. If you don't know what I mean next time you go on go straight into passive mode and take a wander up to Eclipse Towers. You'll know you're heading in the right direction when you see the mountains of wrecked burnt out cars.

Yeah, all the old style vigilante missions have been gone since GTA: San Andreas. I think there were some cop car missions in GTA 4 but it was more of the variety of 'drive to the marked location, get out of car and shoot all the criminals' rather than high speed car chases.

All of the GTA games have had car chases in the main missions, but I do really miss them being the main focus of what you're doing and would like to see them back as an optional side job where you can just keep doing them one after the other after the other for extra cash.

I keep meaning to check out Eclipse Towers on a public server. I'll give it a look over the next few days. I'm not a huge fan of playing with randoms as you know.

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52515/gta-online-lowriders-coming-next-week-october-20th?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=lowriders&utm_campaign=gtaolowriders-10152015

With next week’s release of GTA Online: Lowriders for PS4, Xbox One and PC – lovers of cars and customization all across Los Santos and Blaine County will have a suite of brand new options and a new place to go get them. Introducing Benny’s Original Motor Works, a new customs shop in downtown Strawberry that offers a huge range of lowrider customizations that can turn your classic junker into a high-spec, tricked-out king of the streets.
Visit Benny’s website via the shortcut on your in-game phone to choose from a half-dozen select customizable vehicles – then bring them down to the man himself for an upgrade that unlocks new custom lowrider mods. Deck out your engine block with covers and air filters, coat your interiors with velour, leather and patterns, choose custom colors and designs for your dials, or add a new steering wheel and custom shift levers. Give your ride lift with hydraulics - the more powerful the pumps, the higher you can bounce. And boost your stereo’s performance with new speakers and subs in the back.
Then, meet up with friends and fellow car enthusiasts to show off your new rides – use the Player Interaction Menu while inside or outside the car to open up the vehicle doors, hood and trunk, switch on the engine to flash your neons and bump your favorite radio station for all to admire. Crew car shows are about to go next level.
And keep an eye out for calls and texts from Lamar – he’s making moves of his own through a series of new missions and he’s going to need your help. You’ll want to hit up your trusted allies, wheelmen, and sharpshooters for backup too, as things are going to get hectic.
Get stocked with the fully automatic Machine Pistol or Machete from Ammu-Nation. The upwardly mobile can also expand their garage space and fleet of vehicles with the addition of the oft-requested fourth purchasable property. There’s also tons of new clothing, hair and accessory options as well as 3 new Adversary Modes and more.
GTA Online: Lowriders arrives for PS4, Xbox One and PC as an automatic update on Tuesday, October 20th. See more screens from next week’s update below.

New customisation including hydraulics. New Lamarr missions. Ability to buy a 4th property. Car shows by the looks of things.

I can't say I care for low riders, but the new missions are my bag so there's that.

The 20th is going mad for me. This, new pinball tables and Borderlands stuff. Very nice.

CAn you pimp out your sultan with hydraulic suspension?

Thrashing that thing up a mountain while bouncing the suspension up and down sounds like a blast.
