DANGERMAN Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 gametrailers just showed Namco's new game Inversion. Standard looking stuff for this gen initially, 3rd person shooter featuring beefy men. But you can turn the world, so you could be shooting from behing a sign attatched to a building while the enemy is on the roof. Nice idea, could be decent They're showing some Deus Ex now, nothing major yet just a hacking mini game edit: Looks jaggy as fuck, ps3 version. You need to alter your body mods for things like sniping to make you more stable. Cyberpunk Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 So far my E3 favs are Tomb Raider, Halo Anniversary and Halo 4, Forza 4. I'm also looking forward to Trackmania 2 Canyon, but thats a given seeing as I loved the first game so much, and of course Gears 3. Modern Warfare 3 gets an honourable mention, but I don't know if that video has convinced me to buy it yet. I'll check out Battlefield 3 first. I'm surprised they haven't considered a Halo 2 remake. It was already upscaled a while back to be released for PC as the DirectX 10 showcase game. My problem is the release schedule. Again it's all Holiday season 2011, and I'll have to make choices because of my limited gaming budget. I liked the Kinect stuff, but I still don't want one. My only prob with their Kinect lineup was the Star Wars Kinect. It still looked forced, and didn't seem to move with the guy on stage. I think it was pre-recorded. I'll buy Uncharted and Batman without a doubt, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed I'm still behind on, cant really think of anything else. Cyberpunk Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 Shootmania and Questmania too. Dunno what they are though Shootmania is Nadeo's planned online FPS, and Questmania is their MMORPG. If they go with the current Trackmania setup, they'll be free to play, with clans paying annually for servers. Shootmania and Questmania have a similar setup to Trackmania. As in most of what you'll be able to see and play is user created. That means user made multiplayer maps for Shootmania, and user made dungeons for Questmania. I used to play a lot of FPS' on the pc back in the day. Unreal Tournament, Quake, Doom, and the like. Some of the user created maps were really good. You can set up where the cover is, spawn points, ammo points, etc. That means it's as hard as you want it to be. Expect a lot of maps dedicated to popular stuff, e.g. Deathmatch on the bridge of USS Enterprise, Capture the Flag in Marioland. I can only see Questmania being quite similar to the above. And of course, there'll be lots of classic RPG rip-offs. Balders Gate and World of Warcraft map remakes, for example. The only thing with Nadeo games is they'll be on the PC.
