As it is apparently now known

I like it, couldnt understand why other people didnt get on with the demo.

I've not had a massive play on it yet, and I've only got the ps2 version (well my housemate has got it) at the minute. The game's worth playing just for the player likenesses. Maybe it's out of spite for the Fifa boys but they've really ugged up Rooney (no jokes please), Riise has got the single most impressive forhead I've ever seen. And best of all Crouch, he looks so sad, as though Seabass has captured Crouch's current mood at his Liverpool plight

Im in the eternal love/hate struggle with this fucking game.

God i love it but fuck a duck its frustrating as hell. Its got to be down to the 360 pad more than anything, it just doesnt feel right controlling the bloody game. It feels somehow unacurate.

Some of the passing and shooting has been diabolical and certainly no fault of mine, but still my biggest gripe is how often im caught offside by the most pathetic of margins.

I will prevail tho, i want to play it now infact, fucking game cast a spell over you. Bastard cunting game.

Oh and watch out for Jason Roberts when playing against Blackburn, apparently he's THE greatest player of all time or somebody in the production team fancied him. He's almost untackle-able and rarely misses a 100000 yard shot.

Ive been playing on pro evo 6 A LOT recently, for the master league mode, its satisfying to start with a shit team and then build it up into a super awesome one, despite its unfairness and bastardness.

In fact the bastardness sometimes makes it better especially when you beat some cunt team in the last few minutes despite one of their players being unreasonably godlike (Henry, Jason Roberts etc). The feeling when you score an awesome header on the end of a pass from halfway, or that bit of skill works, eg combining a dummy shot with an excellently weighted chip a la Rooney in the FA cup, and then watch the Keeper do some kind of spaz dive in the replay. My usual way of showing all this in the space of a second is to stand up and shout 'fuck you, you fucking game, im a human, HAAAA!'

That said, im probably going to wait for the Wii version of this game....although im sure it will lead to even more frustration, but what the hey.

The reason I shunned the forthcoming Wii version was for the superior online modes, if you get the Wii one I cant kick your ass AND shout at you at the same time.

Has anyone ever had their keeper collect a shot, stand up, go to kick it out and drop it, only to have the computer with its well placed striker tap it into the net? I have.

I absoulutely fucking hate this game. I'm just playing a league (after editing all the team names) and obviously stayed loyal to Villa, but just like in real life they constantly dissapoint me.

I find all crosses to be pointless, i just dont know what im doing wrong. If I cross in high, i wait patiently for it to drop before a well timed volley that ends up on the moon. Headers balloon off target and toward row Q. Corners seem to make no difference, they always get cleared by the computers defence. Passing is wayard and often intercepted unless its super obvious, and offsides are flagged more than child porn references on an FBI check of Sambob's PC.

:(

I've only had one go (or 3 games) on the ps2 version, and I was quite happy with it. I struggled to score, but that's run of the mill for pro evo, but I ended up winning each game usually by a couple of goals.

I'd play it more, but Football Manager is dominating my non DS time at the minute

I got this due to Gamestations inspired price cut on it, and its quite good. Initially i just preffered the HUD of Pro evo 6 but I guess its slightly trendier. The gameplay does feel slightly more fluid, and its easier to, once youve got the ball, keep hold of it, as opposed to previous versions where it was very hard to carry the ball for any length.

I actually scored from a corner in my first game, crossed to the near side and then a pretty capable volley into the roof of the net send the near post defender and the keeper sprawling into each other. I find that to score from a cross im really having to bombard the opposition a lot more than I used to, until eventually the defender misses the clearing header and my shadow striker finally controls it well enough to either shoot low or dummy passed the keeper.

I quite like the addition of one or two extra roles, shadow striker for example to better reflect a style of play rather than me actually having to pause the game and edit the position of a striker to get him to play where and how I want him, usually an attacking midfielder.

I seem to have forgotten how to efficiently defend, perhaps they tweaked something I dont know but I find my self just having to constantly back off a striker for fear of him just skinning me and having a good run on goal, praying that making my keeper run out to him will prevent a goal, which it so far has.

Id like to see how this works with two human players on the same team, but more than anything im really keen to see how the Wii controls will affect/improve the game

Ive been playing this a bit recently, im on my third master league, because I like the feeling of starting out with a team and getting good players in the transfers. Id really love a change in how the game playes though, because its so similar to the old versions and the computer cheating needs to be addressed.

I heard Seabass is planning a few big changes for the next version and that it will be a proper next generation game, I cant seem to find any details on the next game though.
