    I am Legend

I read the novel earlier this year after I saw it mentioned in SFX Magazine & absolutely loved it. A fantastic read indeed. But why isn't the film about vampires instead of this man made virus stuff?

    Burnout Paradise

I'm just downloading mine now...75% complete...hurry up! :woohoo:
  3. I have a PS3 chum here on these internets boards? Excellent. As for games, Uncharted is supposed to be pretty good. I've got my copy, but it's a present to me from me for Christmas, so I can't open it yet. I'm actually enjoying Motorstorm & Resistance, but that's probably because I've been playing portable games, so these are a nice change of pace. I've also got Ratchet waiting to be played. Plus I've been downloading all the updates for teh rumble support.

I've been looking at the upcoming 360 games for next year & there's nothing that tickles my fancy to the tune of £200. I have waay too much PSP/Wii/DS/PS3 games to play anyway. The 360 would just gather dust.

    Patapon - PSP

It certainly looks & sounds like it is. IGN's TGS impressions. I've just looked on YesAsia for this game & it says "This product is not eligible for tax-free (VAT-Free) service to the U.K. and Germany." First time I've seen that. What does that exactly mean?

    Patapon - PSP

Trailer & Official website Anyone picking this up on the 20th? Looks pretty darn cute & I'm loving the pat-a-pat-a-pat-a-pon.

    WordJong

Yep. I was really hoping that they'd let him talk about it, but alas no. And it's a damn fine game. Maybe an 'underground cult game' in the making?

    WordJong

I've had WordJong for a week or so now & I've just started to play it, but boy am I finding it addictive. It's a cross between Mahjong Solitaire & Scrabble (which I love) & it's a perfect game to relax with. There's a Battle Mode where you beat high scores & earn medals & there's a Daily Mode which is great for a quick fix. So far I haven't had any words that the in-game dictionary hasn't recognised, although looking at IGN's review a few words that you know are correct will be rejected. So overall, I'm pretty happy with it & have already spent some time on completed games trying to beat my high score. And it also cost $19.99, which at the moment seems pretty good value in my book.

    Kula World

I'd forgotten just how much I love this game. Downloaded it to teh PS3 & PSP over the weekend & it really is a lovely game. And just how sparkly it could look in HiDef. Make it so, Kula World developers.

    Puzzle Quest

This is a blast from the past! As much as I loved it, there's no way I'm going to play it through again. No sireee.
  14. Play KULA WORLD ON THE PS3/PSP! WordJong - Absolutely loving this Peggle - NEW ADDICTION... Super Mario Galaxy Want Uncharted Oblivion GOTY Edition Professor Layton The Orange Box To get back into Zelda Phantom Hourglass Bin SMG making me dizzy

    videoGaiden

I thought there was an old thread about videoGaiden, but couldn't find it, so here's a new one. The first episode of the new season is available to watch here at the BBC. I don't know why it's on the net before it airs on BBC Scotland, but it's there, so go view it now.
  16. The best. Getting a new HDTV & PS3. Loving every minute of it. So many good puzzle games out this year. Peggle. Completing a game - Puzzle Quest! Looking forward to playing Uncharted. 1upyours podcast. Best podcast ever. NGamer & Edge Magazine. The worst. SMG making me dizzy. The wiimote/nunchuck. I still prefer a 'normal' pad. Assassin's Creed not turning out quite as good as it was supposed to have. Certain forums & their PS3 bashing. The Orange Box & the fact that the PS3 version is a bit naff (according to reports).
  17. What a damn good issue. Loads of good games, a Peggle feature & that Tetris chap.
  18. RetroEd wrote: Wow. Think I'll hang on until something decent is being offered.
  19. sambob wrote: Good point sambob. There have been dozens & dozens of puzzlers this year, so it deserves its own catagory. NGamer fail!
  20. Looks like a packed issue. What's the subs gift this month Ed?
  21. And they're all gone. Had quite a laugh looking at all the 'from the forum' bits in each issue & seeing some names from the old day's. I had to cringe at some of the stuff that I posted...
  22. Nice one mate. I really want to get rid of all my old Dreamcast & N64 stuff, but I know I'll probably have to pay Gamestation to take it off my hands...

    Mario Party DS

I'm not bothering with this one either.
  24. RetroEd wrote: Oh yes. Binned in the recycle bin. It is a very liberating experience & I've only got a few issues of GTM left now.
  25. I was getting worried there for a minute, but then Ed saves the day with 'spending' on a par with mine.
