There's a new podcast now out called Mobcast. Mobcast Episode 001 This is it, the debut episode of the Mobcast, a podcast that is destined to be described by iTunes commentators as "Five guys in a room? Really?" and "No 97.5 the Brodeo." Our first show was recorded a bit over a month ago, during the Game Developers Conference, so pardon a few out-of-date references to the revolutionary telegraph machine. Aside from Dan 'Shoe' Hsu, who you'll hear on most episodes of Mobcast, special guests on Mobcast 001 include former EGM and 1UPers Mark MacDonald, Che Chou, Chris Johnston, Bryan Intihar, and Shane Bettenhausen. We also have Robert Ashley of A Life Well Wasted adding some additional commentary as the disembodied voice of God. Special thanks to Robert for handling production duties as well. First impressions are very good & I really do love the art style/graphics. When you direct your people to attack turnips or whatever, I'm sure the noise is exactly like Pikmin which is a good thing of course. It is strange though how there aren't any pointer controls.

Good to see Retronauts back again. I was a bit concerned that they'd disappeared down a deep hole or something.

Has anyone listened to the Gamespy podcasts at all? I've a feeling Anthony is now on that show as well.

The gifts do appear to be getting crappier...if that's possible.

I've yet to listen to an episode of Joypod. I've stopped listening to Rebel FM now that Nick & Phil are no longer there. Shame really...

PLAY Peggle (DS) - Very addicted to this one. DSi - Enjoying it very much. All I need are my Hori screen protectors to turn up. WANT I think I already have enough games, but that won't stop me checking out bargains. BIN Traded in 6 DS games at GAME last week & walked out with 3 new ones for a tenner.

Haven't had the chance yet, infact I'm behind in my podcast listening by about a dozen or so shows.

I have to admit that once I got past the (needless) Sony bashing, I actually enjoyed the show & it even made me consider returning to their forums. I found the GTA review to be very good but a little bit too long & as ever, the audio was pretty awful, although I expect that's me being spoiled by all the other podcasts that I listen to. And I'm going to 'try out' My Fun Fact Coach after Shane's mini review.

Played 20 minutes earlier on & they do look pretty shocking, although the gameplay's still there, so I'm happy.

Well, in the first 20 minutes they managed to piss me off by once again having a go at Sony/PS3/PSP even though Shane now owns a PS3, only for the BluRay & Chris has a PSP, only for emulation. I kept listening, but really felt like deleting the whole bloody show.
