Simpsons looks great, but plays shit. There's a PGR 4 demo on there? w00t! I'll be buying that soon, although I haven't started Forza 2 yet.

  5. You're a puzzle whore, Phoo. Hexic HD comes preloaded on the HDD, and it's addictive as hell! Well, I'm assuming it is, as it takes me a while to drag the wife away from it at times! And then there's all the other XBLA stuff, Pac-Man Championship Edition is fantastic, as is Worms. There's a ton of other puzzle action on there, too. No brainer. I see what you mean about the online side of things, but I've been online once (Halo multiplayer against 3 friends) since I bought the machine. It's not essential, but it's a damn nice addition to the whole package in my opinion. And now the Premium is dropping to £195 (I think?). That's Wii territory.
  6. I'd rather they dropped the price down to £3.99, as I always thought it was the DVD that bumped the price up. Not that it would affect me, I pay £9.98 via direct debit every three issues.
  7. Now that I am a Wii60 owner, I wish I made the 360 purchase earlier, as I'm absolutely loving the console. As sam said, it's filling the gap perfectly until the big Ninty games come along, but it's also now my system of choice, alongside the DS. I think the Wii will end up being the first party machine for me, picking up all the big releases (except Metroid Prime 3, not for me), with the odd surprise third party release. There's two games that will make me want a PS3, Gran Turismo 5, and the next ICOteam game. But I have a couple racers on the 360 that could make me forget all about GT5, so until the next ICO/Shadow of the Colossus comes along, I'm good.

  13. Riva, that's how he does things. I think Shane is a legend, I've been listening to both his retrogamingradio and dualscreenradio shows for absolutely ages now, spot on guy. The monroeworld forums are a nice place to be, too. Anyway, does anyone here get any 360 magazines? I've bought the Imagine published 360 magazine, for £2.95 (was £2.75 last month), and it's a pretty good read that's jam packed with info.

    Halo 3

Yay, I did the first mission on Normal this evening, on my own, and am now part way through the second mission. I'm loving it so far! As it is well known around these parts, I'm not a huge FPS fan, mainly because I'm a bit rubbish at them, but I was really getting into this earlier! I also tried 4 player co-op but it was super laggy due to someone's connection, so we ended up doing slayer matches on a couple maps. I came last, naturally, but I was having a great laugh at the same time. Good stuff.
  16. An excellent review has just been put up on NTSC-UK. I need to play this again, I'm right at the start of Chapter 2 I think.

    Halo 3

I've had a little play and I reckon I'll continue on Normal (for teh achievements, lolz). I've only played it for a short while, am currently on the third objective of the first mission. At least there are checkpoints at what seems like every five steps or so! Another question, if one or two people were to jump in on my game, how do the achievements work when you finish a mission etc, does everyone get them or are they not applied? Not that I'm really bothered (I have a massive 165 achievement points currently), just wondered how it worked.

    Halo 3

I'm really shit at Halo. FPS' in general, I guess. Is it wrong that I want to play this on Easy? Does it affect the game in any way, achievements, story etc? I want to play the single player and enjoy it, but even on Normal it could be too hard for little old me. I've never gotten into the whole Halo thing, but really want to, and want to get good enough so I can play multi some day. And how does the co-op work? Can I play the single player campaign then have someone jump in part way, then carry on on my own, for example?

Mine has 'English Version' on the front of the box. It's this one, not this one.

    Halo 3

My Halo 3 came today. It's the NTSC-J version, but is region free, all text on box is English, and the manual has Chinese and English, so it's all good.
  22. The only XBLA game I've bought so far is Worms, along with Hexic HD that was already on the HDD. I've tried pretty much every demo going now, and there's a few I want Pac-Man CE Bomberman Live Marble Blast Ultra Sonic The Hedgehog Jetpac Refuelled (maybe)
  23. PLAY Zelda: Phantom Hourglass [NDS] Everybody’s Golf [PSP] SEGA Rally [360] Halo 3 [360] Forza 2 [360] Crackdown [360] Gears of War [360] Worms [XBLA] Various XBLA & 360 Demo’s WANT PGR 4 [360] Super Paper Mario [Wii] Super Mario Galaxy [Wii] - I think I may book the 16th off! A bunch of XBLA games LG 22" Widescreen HDMI TV/Monitor BIN Not a lot, lack of free time for gaming I guess. And fundage!
  24. Fuck man, that sucks ass. I have bought points using my debit card, but I think I'm going to get a scratch card for my Live sub. I'd call them again if it was me dude, and keep calling until something is sorted. You have done nothing wrong and have the right to cause a huge fuss over this.
  25. It's £4.50 now, like EDGE. I must get around to subscribing. Those last four reviews are regarding their online play, not full game, too. It's the PS3 'Essential Ten' this month, but only has 8 games in it apparently.
