    Mass Effect

Firstly, I remember getting some glitching in the characters, sometimes the eyes would stay partially shut and when the did blink their eyelids would stretch to their cheeks, it was actually quite scary. I like driving the Mako, thats because I have my own game where on a straight I would start fishtailing it and the jump to try to do a 360 in the air.. I only managed it once. The turret on the thing is fucking useless for shooting up or down on wonky terrain. Even with those querks its still the best game this gen in my flawless oppinion. And ooooh, some lovely DLC.
  2. I wasn't keen on Mini Ninjas but when I was done with the demo the trailer the show afterwards shows some really cool stuff so I'm thinking it could be one of the demos that doesn't do the game justice, or it is a bit dull. I liked the LP2 demo, I would say that though because I liked it first time round and bringing down hulking beasts with others is fun, I was surprised at the amount of people online, I thought it was four player co-op but there seemed to be other teams of four too which caused me to go 'who the fuck are these guys?' down the mic and people laughed, end of story. I hope LP2 isn't all like that, I haven't been following it but I hope this is just a little mode that accompanies a game that can be played alone.
  3. Shooty in the background bits are a bit dodgey, some of the animations are a bit 16bit but in HD and the turret sections has the most laughable AI seen for a good 10 years. Apart from that I think its fan-fooking-tastic, its right up my street this. I'm finding it a bit hard in parts though.
  4. I think its easier to list the XBLA games I didn't like. Space Giraffe and Prince of Persia Classic. Every other game I got off XBLA has seen much love, there are a few old grouches that don't do the download thing and it just puzzles me. I buy loads of the fuckers on all of the formats, they seem to best suit when you 30 mins to spare and can't quite face firing up a full retail game.
  5. *High fives* .. Thats wrong of me, I've never played Fable II but I'm aloud to piss over popular games too. Ass Creed 2 is a while away so I won't be getting my next fix for a while.
  6. I finished it tonight, just in time so my attention can move to Shadow Complex. At the start I loved it then halfway through things went bad, I'm sure there is some unfair sections there which push really press the wrong buttons. one of two things happened from the start of stage 3 onwards, it either got fairer or you get in the games flow and things that you were struggling with become second nature. I will give it its dues for keeping a simple gameplay concept original throughout, there was quite alot of variety in the puzzles and platforming. It really is the love/hate game, I really struggled to truly hate it after the ending too, I loved that. Got me my first premium theme aswell.

I've tried followers but they steal your kills so I tell them to fuck off. A follower would by handy here though...

    Fallout 3

It was when Deathclaws, Giant Radscorpions and Hard-as-Fuck-Mutants became commonplace that I had to stop playing. It's not that I couldn't fight them off more that it is too much of a slog, sneaking up on any of the fuckers would only take a third of health away and to kill them off was just backpeddle and shoot, I really missed those one-hit kills I was doing on everyone before. I should finish Broken Steel though but fighting two Deathclaws in an office block should be awesome but is as much fun as castrating yourself.

I think I heard something about BF:BC2 in Nuts Magazine too, maybe you should suscribe...
  11. Not much to report, I'm still playing little bits of Wipeout HD, I've unlocked the last set of races now but I've been playing it online mostly, it can be a bit laggy but other than that its all gravy. I'm just over an hour in but I've started Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Honestly at this point I'm not digging the combat, its far too simplistic and I can't see room for strategy which I was expecting. Another thing bothering me is they've made Zack a cock, in the original because of the lack of FMV with him in and no voice acting I imposed my own idea of his character onto him, which was that of a sound bloke. Here he's a typical Dante type but without the irony. I liked it when the old boss music kicked in during a fight and I still love the way Zack starts doing squat thrusts in the middle of a conversation, the lad needs some ritalin or something.
  12. Nonsense, I'm sick of a question coming up and I look cluelessly at anyone in the room and they say the middle one, so you press it and it turns out wrong. You look over again like all 'what the fuck, I thought you knew it?' and they're like 'it was just a guess, jeez' then I'm like 'don't fucking say anything if you don't know'. Then there's the other situation where I don't put the answer the say because they don't stress they know it, they sound like they're just guessing again and more arguements happen.
  13. I only need the Tour of Duty II 'ment from BF: 1943 and it will be the first game I've 100%'ed, achievement wise.
  14. Aye, thats who I was thinking of.
  15. I've been wanting to hit 20000 gamerpoints for what seems like an age now. I try to set goals sometimes but I never reach them, I get as far as deciding what game I'm going to play that evening, sometimes I don't stick to that...
  16. Nice work n00bs. It didn't skip, just Illdog's mic having a mind of its own with the volume. I don't know if there was too much rambling or not, I maybe got bored because the chat was about games I don't have alot of interest in. The little soundbites were a nice touch. Seems like it'll be okay when Hendo wants a hoiday.
  17. Its so easy just to press the wrong button sometimes, I've made some stupid answers that way. Who else was thrown by the Wilfred Smith question along with most?
  18. I play very few sandbox games where things like happen alot, especially the bad ones since there are loads of things to go wrong. Any terrible game I've played has been just that.
  19. Alma's the purple lady, right? I don't remember having much trouble with her. /smug I think the first boss I got too that really started to make me go red is the first time you fight that samurai guy that turns up at the start. He's a proper cunt. I suppose that explains why it was annoying then, I found the alternative weapons in this one to be pretty useless compared to the Dragon Sword, are you sticking with the Sword too?
  20. I looked at the store to get some Tap but I looked at the whole list and found loads of stuff I want. I didn't get nowt though because if I started I'd end up getting loads. Though when I had some people around they demanded I get Sex On Fire that came out the other week, they made me sing it with them too, its hard.
  21. I tried the Batman demo, it seemed okay but not a day one purchase. I might get it when its cheap if I'm in the mood for it. It looks nicer than I thought it would.
  22. Not alot really. It's been Wipeout HD on the most part again, going steady and having fun with it, I did a tournament online and proper, I mean proper wiped the floor with a bunch of losers, that made me feel special. I've also been playing Battlefield: Bad Company a little, I played with some of the GTM regulars and had the games of my BF career, kicked some serious bollocks in that then played the next day and did even better. Then I played it last night all arrogant and did shit. I did fall in love with it again breifly because when a plan comes together its great, even better when it goes wrong but with lightning fast observations of your suroundings and acting accordingly to the class you are, you can then still get out of trouble and blow the crate. Its such a well put together game. Lastly, I've been taking the DSi to work and playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2. Maybe I need to play it more than 15 - 30 minutes at a time put I think its drawn out too much, I don't like the progression of unlocking weapons. In the GBA one they came as new towns were uncovered in the shops there but here you have to find certain items in battle and sell then to make the weapons, weapons let you unlock new skills so it adds a needless layer. The rest plays as well as usual but I'm tempted to sack this off and just bring out the GBA or PSP one.

    Turtles in Time

I didn't play it first time around so I've got no nostalgia towards it. I'll be saving my points.
  24. Activision are cunts. Can't say I'm surprised by the price point, its pretty much what I expected.
