Just realised I never posted the Metacritic (XSX Version) link so here you are

I tried to in 2019 or so but graphically it was so bad I gave up about 2 hours in lol. I'm thinking on a handheld screen they won't look as bad though, really I should've got them on Switch but there was a PS sale going on at the time.

Once I have my new PSP I might try to play through FF7-9 again, who knows.

Yeah, really sad, this always looked like it would be a huge dud. Always reminded me of LawBreakers really, which isn't exactly a ringing indictment. But yeah, deeply sad for the studio and everyone's jobs.

Unless Silksong or Dreamsettler release this year of course lol.

BGS games have always had great side quests, so I don't doubt they're better than FFXVI's, but yeah, so far, picked up a load but not started any really.

Looking good this, may give it a go.

Never played it on the GCN, still not sure if it looks in my wheelhouse or not really, there's something about the art style that's off-putting to me.

Same, always looked cool but never got round to it. Expansion looks cool too.

Was a banging trailer, less than 4 years dev time to get this out the door as well, some bloody good going that!

better faces for sure, haven't got any side quests complete in this yet to compare them to.

I've picked up a bunch of side quests but not started them yet, I've just really been wandering about at the moment, going round the first area you go to, after I've been in the tube to the next area and wandering around there talking to people. With the faces, it's not a deal breaker, but it definitely doesn't help. As I said previously, I've been spoilt playing BG3 and FFXVI concurrently really on that front. I do want to go back to it, but yeah, making excuses in my head not to is not a good omen, we'll see. It's definitely no Fallout/Skyrim so far to me, another big game this year that has disappointed me, but I don't want to speak too soon as I haven't given it enough time to be fair.

Probably haven't played much in co op for a few years now. Enjoyed playing through the first couple of Gears games in co op, same with Halo 1-3, Kane and Lynch 1-2 back in the day, lots of stuff of that era really. I'd play a lot of N64 stuff with the kids up the road from me when I was a kid, Goldeneye, Cruis'n USA, Cruis'n World, probably a load of other stuff I'm forgetting. Online co op I used to play Fortnite, Apex and Minecraft quite a lot when I was with my ex. Enjoyed playing through No Way Out with Si a few years back, It Takes Two with Char a few years back (took a bit of convincing but she stuck with it lol).

I really don't think we'll see Stellar Blade, I think we'll see FFVII: Rebirth though hopefully, maybe Silent Hill. There is a leaked games list out there But the leaker isn't known to be particularly reliable. Regardless, I'm going to keep my expectations in check with this SoP.
