  1. I think that they are bothe great games. Obviously sunshine isnt anywhere near as groundbreaking as Mario 64 was. Nevertheless Sunshine is stll rateable in my book, i think the main problem people had with it was that they were expecting Super Mario 128 whereas what we got was Mario 64 2 (If that makes sense) Sunshine wasnt much more than a sequel, building on the fortifications 64 had created. As long as you dont expect anything to great, im sure people could see this game for what it is - A Great platforming experience.
  2. This weeks additions: 16/03/07 NES - (500 Wii Points) Ice Climber Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turbografx - (600 Wii points) Splatterhouse
  3. I finished the game twice through one the same save file cos i heard you got to pick the colour of Links costume the third time round - Like the links from four swords - unfortunatly its not true. The second time you play through in the clothes the starts the game in, but thats it. I do remember getting loads of the statues the second time through, and ive always meant to go back and get em all, cos lets face it they were cool!
  4. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) Sonic the Hedgehog (GC - Mega Collection) Excite Truck (Wii) All S grades on Excite and Super Excite... now for Mirror Mode
  5. Wind Waker is a brilliant Zelda game, i just think it could of been longer... I dont see why people griped about the cel shaded graphics, i loved them. It seemed to hark back to A Link to the Past - which is possibly the greatest Zelda game ever created
  6. I think its well worth picking up, and to a certain extent i disagree with the dawg. I see what he means, the DS version is probably the definitive Mario Kart experience in my opinion, but i prefered Double Dash! over MK64... Think i hated the cheating AI far too much in that game

    PS3 Home

illdog wrote: exactly. And yes this big old interactive world may look good, but think about it... all PS3 users in one area? To me that spells loads of prepubescent kids running round posing as adults screaming "OMG I TEH PWNZ LOZORZ!!!" The Mii's may look bad now, but at least its more personal in a unique kinda way. Besides would some of the celebrity Mii's look as funny if they looked realistically like theyre live counterparts? I think not

    PS3 Home

Im still a firm believer that the PS3 will fall flat on its arse this time round. There aint many exclusive games cos sony didnt bother to sign em up before touting that they were PS3 only - Virtua Fighter for example. Okay, im not completley against it, and im not just being all fanboyish about it, but unless sony completly change theyre support and ideas the PS3 wont last as long as its predecessors. Personally i'd think of getting one if they wer uber cheap, but even then the 360 will be cheaper. If it comes to it, id buy a 360 cheaply as the only games i really want to play are Resi 5 and Metal Gear Solid... which should appear on the 360 before long. Cor, cheer up Shin!

    Excite Truck

This game rocks. hard. I was a little unnerved by the controls while i was doing all the tutorials, but once they were out of the way and i had my first race under my belt i was away! Graphics are surprisingly good, and the sense of speed is top notch - On par with F-Zero GX. Its a wierd game cos it sorta feels like tony hawks being shot from a cannon at a high velocity  The hardest thing to get used to is turning with the wiimote when your under pressure... I keep going for the d-pad, which ofcourse is the boost and doesnt help in times of stress :cheer:

    Kororinpa

Got this today - and its bags of fun! Really silly but addictive, and whats more two player is really fun too Plus it seems you can unlock stuff like it was a co-op game
  14. I like it as it is now, pink's a bit too daring. And before you know it we'll all be going around with limp wrists saying "oooh you! stoppit!"
  15. Brilliant! I want one - you could make a killing selling them Mine'd have to be custom built for a DS phat tho
  16. Yeah, ive just had a few goes after months of not playing it... Ive been toying with the idea of letting some of you guys come to my town to help me tidy up all the grass... ... but something tells me id have no trees at the end of it all
  17. I would be interested in helping out, but am a bit weary as to how much i could do. As most people i tend to be a bit busy, although i would be up for it. Just to clear up, this doesnt sound like a moderators position as such, just people to sort out theyre own reviews?
  18. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) Sonic the Hedgehog (GC - Mega Collection) Woo! Two games this year  I suppose i do play a few at once... and things like Animal Crossing dont help, where there isnt really an end to the brute
  19. I havent played for a few weeks, had a bit of a guzzle over new years getting new fish and what-not. I sorta lost interest after a mate completly paid off his mortgage with tom nook, and he wouldnt let him order anything to decorate his house - what gives with that? can anyone shed light as to if you have to do something? My town tune is Master of Puppets by Metallica

    Kid Icarus

Well i downloaded this game from the VC, and my first impressions are that its very good. I played this game as a child, but didnt own it. I'd borrowed it a few times and liked it for some reason despite it being really difficult! I never managed to get off the first stage... Anyway, years later and here is the game in all its 8-bit glory. It's still quite hard, but its easier to figure out whats going on now as it was probably quite different for its time, as it doesnt really explain what anything does. The platforming still holds up very well, and its very satisfying getting your 'XP' up... and ive just got passed stage 1-1! If anyone never played this game back in the day, i'd suggest getting it if you enjoyed Metroid and Zelda II on the NES as in many respects its a bit of a combination of both. Its a mystery why Nintendo didnt carry on this franchise like they did with Zelda and Metroid, as it was up there with them, and im sure a SNES re-make or sequel would of been excellent. Here's hoping then that with the main character, Pit, appearing in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl that he'll get an outing on the Wii.
  21. ...although i did read somewhere that a guy has fixed his 360's red ring of death several times, by giving it a good whack in a certain place  As the moral goes - If in doubt, give it a clout
  22. Anyone know where i can get a Power Supply for my SNES from? Ebays a bit gay for stuff like that, plus i'd have to pay cheque...
  23. yes! im getting kid icarus!
  24. Mines crashed twice when ive tried to load up a 'cube game. Black screen appeared with an error message saying eject the disc and turn console off... first time i cleaned the disc with a glasses cloth thingy and it worked, then the second time it took the disc back in when i switched it on and it worked...

    Hot Fuzz

 I personally loved spaced, and shaun of the dead. This was a great film too, not quite as good as dead, but as a comedy film its great! Simon Pegg is the man, cant believe anyone would hate him, or even compare him to the annoying bastard that is Vernon kay. Although i guess thats how the cookie crumbles with peoples tastes. I personally hate The Mighty Boosh, mainly because i think its trying so hard to be spaced that its just not funny. Then again i know people who love it... meh
