  1. Haven't Naughty Dog confirmed they're working on a PS3 Jak game?

Aww poor Ben, such a miserable life eh? How about cheering yourself up with the news that Bloodrayne 3 is in post-production, yes with Uwe Boll as Producer.

    Left 4 Dead 2

Looks like I can just about do it, I can run TF2, Portal, Episode 2 and Left4Dead without any issue, they just have long loading times.

    Left 4 Dead 2

Anyone playing on PC? If so is it still the case that aslong as your PC can run HL2 you can run L4D2?

    EDGE #209

A 5 for Dragon Age is very harsh, they've reviewed the 360 version as did Eurogamer I believe and I've personally not had half the issues that Eurogamer had with it. In fact my only complaint so far is that the same problems Mass Effect had are still apparent (poor animation and poor voice acting, plus bad loading times) but the texture pop-in appears to be fixed, and on my setup its really badly letterboxed and visuals are a little on the jaggy side.
  6. Thats messy? lol Seriously, on my desk alone at the moment theres the normal stuff: monitor, router, 360. Plus a cow bank (think piggy bank but a cow) a Transformer (RID type, think its Red Alert) Yuna from FFX-2, 2 models of a VW Camper van, a Ham toy car (Toy Story's Ham piggybank as he appears in the credits to Cars), a couple of Mario Kart models and some FFIII DS ones. Then stuff that should be tidied away but at this particular point in time isn't...
  7. Hit almost 14 hours now and its really picking up. Spent alot of time doing sidequests though, some I completed, some I've not even started and some are half way through. I'm liking the random battles that pop up as you move around the map screen, others will probably hate them but I'm a big JRPG fan so I have no problem with them whatsoever.
  8. Well neither do I to be honest, not properly, but I do see the front cover when I'm hanging around in WHSmiths andit feels like hardly a week goes by without a mention of Doherty, Babyshambles or The Libertines...
  9. Why? As far as I witnessed, they love a good wank over Pete Doherty. Glad to see Songs For The Deaf on there! And as for The Arctic Monkeys, not a patch on Mclusky. Do Dallas is probably one of the finest punk rock albums this decade.
  10. I thought Sly were from York? I was seriously expecting him to start shouting "TOOOOOOON ARMY!" at one point, he went all Geordie.
  11. At least I'm not using someone elses underwear lol, it was something I started because normally female characters start off with weaker stats, or aren't as strong but are faster. Basically, aside from Bioware and Bethesda I suppose, most developers give them stats that suit the manner in which I like to play a game.
  12. lol the sun was shining on my monitor and covering up most of that, I misread it as Jai Bai Pollet and wondered "who the fuck is that!?"

    Forza 3

Will have to watch that later. As for the 3 TV's thing, you need 3 TV/Monitors, obviously, 3 consoles and 3 copies of the game to do it, a major investment thats not really worth it in my opinion.
  14. I can switch between on the equip screen but can't see how to do it in-game.
  15. He looks just like the nerdy one out of The Breakfast Club!
  16. This game needs banning now, look what its doing to the Nations FUCKTARDS!
  17. I wanted to get it on PC but I doubt my system would run it. But anyhow, you're right that its one of those games that you lose hours to. I'm still right at the start and had only put into about 2 hours when I made this thread yesterday. I went on last night and it jumped to about 6 lol. I went down the same route as you for my character, although I'm playing as a woman, I usually do on RPG's, my Fallout character is female as is my Shepard in Mass Effect (actually she looks like the red head from Sex and the City...) and my starting character on Phantasy Star Zero is a human female hunter. I need to figure out how to switch weapons during battle. Is it the same as switching between talents (the pallete in the bottom corner I mean?) or do you have to bring up the radial dial?
  18. Lord of the Rings + Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic = Dragon Age: Origins. It seriously doesn't get any clearer than that. Now admittedly I love the second half of that sum, and whilst I enjoy the Lord of the Rings movies I've never really gotten into a Fantasy setting RPG, its one of the big reasons I never got on with Oblivion. However I'm really getting into this. Not really played much of it (well, the clock says 4 hours which is only an hour or 2 shy of how long the CoD:MW2 single player takes) but already I'm forming attatchments to certain characters (Morrigans quite amusing, Alastair is a whiny little bitch) and am slowly tackling the more in depth stuff like individual tactics for each party member. Now admittedly I'm playing on easy, I've heard it gets hard and quite frankly I'm only really playing it for the story not some sort of Ninja Gaiden selfharm style challenge, so I'm not all that bothered about the difficulty level, and for those that are interested I've taken the route of a Human female Rogue Noble which has provided some interesting results (typical trying to be a hard woman and wanting to fight in battle but initially not allowed to by her noble father) and interaction with other characters. Undecided whether to go down the "pander to everyone I meets wishes" or "tell them to screw themselves" style routes yet, so I'm somewhere in between, pissing off or pleasing certain people in the party almost at random depending on how much of an irritance the person I'm interacting with is proving to be (Case in point, some religious woman I ended up threatening as she wouldn't give me something I needed, thus getting a negative vibe from Alastair whilst Morrigan quite enjoyed what I said). So far then its pretty good. Typical Bioware shonkiness in certain areas, the 360 version looks pretty poor, animations not exactly great, slow loading textures and generally everything else that was a complaint with Mass Effect, but as with Mass Effect its still highly enjoyable and will most definetly fill that gap until Mass Effect 2 is out.

    Phantasy Star 0

There is RAmarl I was just emphasising that theres HUmarl now. Theres male and female for each race and class now which is great, annoyed me before that there was only certain ones.

    Phantasy Star 0

Been awaiting this for a while, a portable Phantasy Star with online capabilities and you know what? The waits been worth it. I'll get the bad out of the way: It's a little clumsy in places, sometimes a little too difficult to target "Hostiles" (as all the characters in the game call them). The story appears to be shiter than Phantasy Star Universe with characters that are as annoying And thats about it, possibly important things for most people but for me, meh its all about the combat and just playing it and its actually really fun. I've put 3 hours in so far and have hit level 11, MAGs are back and yes you can feed them items from your inventory and the bob around over your shoulder and everything. Its essentially a Firefly/Wild West themed Phantasy Star Online Lite and thats literally all I wanted from it. Not had chance to test it out online yet as the only people I know who have bought it are American and haven't been around to play with today. But yeah, early impressions are good, its challenging, fun and whilst the character creation is severely limited, even compared to PSO, I still like my HUmarl (yes, HUmarl, no HUmar or RAmarl but HUmarl).
  21. Just finished, its good just not CoD4 good really and has been pointed out it just feels like you're doing CoD4 again with different textures or location names. In response to Badger and Hinn
  22. Doing Roach's mission in Russia, making me fucking angry...
  23. Think I'm about half way through and in all honesty the scenario's just aren't as good as what I enjoyed in Modern Warfare. they've still thrown in an entire countries worth of armed men into relatively small area's with no extra access points that could be covered... It's good though, I don't think it has as many stand out points as Modern Warfare. I'm thinking I'm about halfway through (The achievements seem to suggest this is the case) and its mostly been the "Television Station" (from MW) style so far, storm building/area and shoot everything in site, die alot, try again, alot of it is confined to Brazilian shanty back alleys with Militia soldiers being able to accurately pin point your head through a window, from the other side of the block with an RPG... The "controversial" level doesn't really have that much context at this point applied to it in all honesty and feels more like an excuse for the rest of the plot.

    Ghostbusters

You've pretty much covered everything I'd noticed about it, apart from the talking I don't have a problem with that, although sometimes Venkman's lines feel a little forced and phoned in at the same time.

    Forza 3

My internet bottomed out during my final race, hence why I suddenly dissappeared, it returned like 30 seconds later but I was too angry at Sky to bother with the 360. It's been dropping randomly late at night or during the day (i.e. not during peak periods) for about a fortnight now.
