DisturbedSwan
This got somewhat buried by all the other PSX trailers etc. but if you've not seen this game yet it's fucking rad. It's in the same vein as DMC/Bayonetta, that stylish action stuff, made by only an 8-man team out of China - originally just 1 dude - and it looks fantastic. radiofloyd
https://www.gematsu.com/2021/04/lost-soul-aside-18-minutes-of-gameplay Looks impressive if it’s the real deal.
DANGERMAN
it's certainly pretty enough
one-armed dwarf
I skimmed through that and it looks cool but there's so much screen shake, blur and intense effects that its hard to gleam what is going on. I'm saying that when its clearly pillaging basically every kind of game I like. I like super skill based combat games with lots of creativity but it kinda looks headache inducing unless you can tune some of that stuff down. A slow paced battle system in games like this can be pretty underrated, original Bayonetta and every DMC is pretty slow in comparison
radiofloyd
https://www.gematsu.com/2022/11/lost-soul-aside-to-be-published-by-sony-interactive-entertainment Coming to PS4 and PS5. Looks flashy, albeit fairly unoriginal.
DANGERMAN
this does look good tbf. A little empty, a bit like Bright Memory, which I think gives away its budget, but it's running well now at least
one-armed dwarf
Feel the same way about it as I did in that comment a year ago. I wonder if HDR has had an unintentional bad impact on how some game visuals are designed tbh. Great for films, but games have too much going on these days imo
