Shin_Seffron
Jesus, this USB dongle is more trouble than its worth! Basically can anyone help, as ive recently aquired an xbox 360 and got that set up to my PC via the ethernet cable, trouble is that it seems Nintendo's USB dongle hates the 'Network Bridge' that is active between the two systems. At first i thought the Wi-Fi software had corrupted so i tried a re-install only to be greeted with the error saying: 'A network bridge is enabled. Delete the Network Bridge in the Network Connections' So unaware that this bridge was for the 360, i deleted it. Sure enough the wi-fi software was then happy to install and i got my DS online. W00t! But then i realised i couldnt get online with my xbox because of the deleted network bridge... so i had to re-do the setup... and im back to square one! My xbox can get online and my Nintendo Wi-fi connector icon stays grey and not responding!! Argh! Anyone else had this problem, or knows how i can get round it? Surley i dont have to delete and reinstall everytime i want to get each machine online?!
Centy
The easiest way to solve your problem is to go the way of wireless get your 360 to connect to the wireless (dunno how) and then use it for your DS. Either that or if your on later i can refer you through msn to my network specialist
Guest adi
ive had problems with my firewall, sygate blocks it some how, the nintendo software can see the Ds but the DS cant connect online,
Hendo
The best solution I'm afraid to say, is invest in a wireless router. Plug the 360 and the PC direct into the router (with ethernet cables) and then you've got as many wireless systems on the go as you like. PSP, PS3, DS, Wii....it's future proof really. Sambob
Yeah router is the best way to do it as suggested, which ISP are you with? im with orange and their Livebox is pretty clever, its free with the broadband connection package but other decent ones are approx 30/40 quid but well worth it. Shin_Seffron
I did think about getting a wireless router, but i managed to sort it all... or so i thought. I dont really want to spend any money at the mo- but my pc does have a wireless card, and is always detecting other peoples access points... im sure theres a way to make my PC share the internet wirelessly to my Wii / DS, but ive tried setting up a network and nothing happened... Sambob
Unless you have a wireless 'broadcaster' in your laptop then it probably wont work, the USB dongle sends the signal but for some reason as youve said it doesnt seem to agree with the signal being sent you your Xbox.
