  1. Awesome, I can get 3000 Wii Points and still have some stars left over. I still have 4100 unused Wii Points on my Wii, though. I may see what else they have.

    Burnout Paradise

Yes, I'm excited! It's one of the reasons I bought my 360, really looking forward to it. I hope there's a 360 demo. Shane Bettenhausen made it sound pretty good, and the online integration is supposed to be second to none. I can't wait.
  3. Very nice collection. You should have got the 360 VF5, though. Stick looks awesome, mind.
  4. I was listening to last weeks GameSpot's the Hot Spot podcast today, which was hosted by Jeff. From the K&L website: Kotaku The current banner on Destructoid is fantastic: http://www.destructoid.com/

  6. NeoGAF confirmation from a friend Gabe of Penny Arcade confirming story Kotaku coverage Destructoid news Gamespot video review that has been pulled Gamespot text review Gamespot reader reviews! And now the video editor of Gamespot has walked out as well. A paste (not mine, I use Firefox FTW) of the Eidos forums, which are now Shut. If this is true, it fucking sucks.
  7. Excellent thread, and one that I shall contribute to when I have a bit of spare time to have a little think about the superb gaming year that has been 2007.
  8. And the fact that it's not free. Well it is, but you pay £12 every 3 months which saves you no money at all on the magazine (was £9.99), so you can get the game for free. If you go to myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/christmas and enter 296X as the code, you can subscribe to ONM for a measly £6.49 a quarter. Works out as £25.96 a year instead of £48. That's more like it! I've just cancelled my ONM sub though, as I've taken an EDGE one out for £8.77 a quarter, and still have my NGamer sub going as well.
  9. Hmm, I think I may pick this up one day. I read the GamesTM review earlier and it was very positive, also.
  10. A Logic3 GC pad and a Wii steering wheel! yay!

    The Orange Box

You're right Hendo, we all hype things, and we all fall for it as well. I think with Portal I expected it to be more like it is on the earlier levels. When the levels started to get longer (16 onwards?), I found myself becoming less interested in it. I liked the bite-size levels where you can jump in, work your brain a little bit, and then move on to the next. Towards the end the levels were too long for what the game entailed, in my opinion. I know the overall game was very short, but I'd rather have had 30 short levels than 15 short levels and 4 longer ones. It's just not quite as I expected, I guess. And it made my head hurt at times, the portal's made me dizzy.

    The Orange Box

I liked Portal, but I think I was a bit overhyped for it. After reading nothing but praise for the game, I didn't feel quite the same way on playing it. I still enjoyed it though, and it's good to have something a bit different.

    Mario Party DS

Has anyone here got this yet, or going to bother? I might purchase it soon, should be a laugh in multi and it does the single card play well from what I've read. Shame there's no online, though. £16.99 at MovieTyme.

    Super Mario Galaxy

What a game indeed. And what an ad! IMAX in London.
  19. Sensible Soccer will be arriving on XBOX Live on December 19th!
  20. I've done a rough calculation on my various gaming outlays for 2007, although I can't remember what DS games which were bought this year or last. 360 Elite, Play n Charge kit, 12 games, 3mth Gold sub comes to £450. Wii games and wii points comes to around £275, maybe slightly more. PS2 Slimline to replace the Phat, £49. PSP Slim & Lite to replace Phat, plus accessories and a couple games - £175. DS games, I honestly have no idea, I've sold a lot, but bought a lot also. I'm gonna guess 30 games, but it's probably more. Averaging £18 each probably £540. Yowsers, I hope I estimated a bit high! Plus some DS Lite accessories. Then there's a few GBA games that I've bought, I'll say £100. Total - £1589. This could be totally inaccurate. It could be more or it could be less. I have sold some games, and the PSP slim was almost paid for by selling my old PSP. I'm not including the TV, but if I was, add £400 to the total. So it's been all about the Wii, 360, DS & PSP this year. A nice combination I must say.
  21. I hope by bin you mean recycle.
  22. You can get the first 50 issues of GTM on disc now, that would save some space! Edit: damn the site being slow.
  23. I my 360. I've managed to rack up 12 retail games already, some new some second hand, although I haven't played all of them yet. There's a few I still want too; Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, CoD4, etc. I even played that free Carcassone XBLA game last night and enjoyed it. Superb console, and I haven't properly taken it online more than once yet, either!
  24. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (PSP) Sonic the Hedgehog (PSP) Kirby Squeak Squad (DS) WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Wii) Diddy Kong Racing (DS) Hotel Dusk (DS) Meteos (DS) Yoshi's Island DS (DS) Kororinpa (Wii) Elite Beat Agents (DS) Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 (DS) (Easy & Normal) Super Donkey Kong (aka DKC) (Super Famicom) Kurukuru Kururin (GBA) WarioWare Twisted! (GBA) Streets of Rage II (MD/VC) Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (Wii) Sonic Advance (GBA) Halo 3 (360) (Normal) LocoRoco (PSP) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) Portal (360) A very good first person puzzle game that's extremely well thought out.
