  1. I actually found Ravenhome to be about as scary as an episode of Scooby Doo, and I'm not trying to put up a manly facade, I now refuse to play a copy of Silent Hill 2 I just bought because it creeps me out so much.
  2. I'll just put my Wii code here: 0228 6106 8734 8508. And I'll also take back my comment about the game holding your hand to much, I am so lost its unreal, and that brain thing has stopped giving me waypoints.:pinch:
  3. I tried getting the zombie chopper achievement but I was stuck in a room with a bunch of those quick and hard zombies and only cardboard boxes as my only means as a potential weapon. So I got angry and Mr shotgun came out.
  4. Right, since my mates pissed off to London this weekend I am sitting on my own with Metriod Prime 3 for company, I played it all day and I think I have an oppinion. Its a Gem. Although probably the weakest in the trilogy. The controls work, the graphics are sweet as hell and the classic smarter than your average FPS gameplay, but the smaller areas give less scope for exploration, so finding missile's is easy as there is no room for hidden rooms, and I don't think I like the hand holding, I got through the first game eventually (still working on the second) and I don't feel I need it. Saying that, this is easily my favourite Wii game just topping Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess.
  5. Mine has been posted too, that postman better remember I was pro-strike, I want my game tommorrow.
  6. Yeah its the slogfest thats put me off picking it back up, currently trying to get through victory road but Max Repels don't even work in there, in fact I'm sure you just go into battle with strong wild pokemon which defeats the point slighty. Its probably the game telling me I need to grind more.
  7. Well I'm looking for a way to get rid of the fog in the north west, as for people here saying that its easy, thanks for making me look stupid because I have died loads of times and keep getting stuck, I figure something out then I get stuck again, that bastard torch hiding in the house being a good example. All in all, I'm not sure if this game is sucking me in, I might just need time with it, time not wandering around not knowing what to do.

  9. No no no, I strive on a challenge, if this is that easy I will be dissapointed, but the Zelda games are usually really entertaining, but it won't go down as a classic in my oppinion if its to easy, shame.
  10. Now I loved Sonic Rush and this sequal came as a bit of a surprise, it was on the shelf weeks after I heard it even existed. But I have to say I am dissapointed with this, and its mainly down to the ship and jet ski parts, they are just not fun to do, why these sections were added is beyond me, they make you do these to get to the main game and it just waters the whole experiance down and turns the game into a bit of a slog just to get to the levels. Part of the appeal of Sonic Rush was that you could just jump right in and play Sonic at his best, non of this adventuring nonsense that plagues later games. The bosses are fun though.
  11. What! No Alien Hominid or Smash TV on XBLA, not good enough.

    Super Metroid

Yeah, great game, playing it with fresh eyes now. I don't know about it being the best, the contols on the GBA games were tighter and quicker and that made it easier for dodging, and theres slightly more repetition in the level design which reminds me of the original Metroid, but I'm not gonna let minor gameplay issues spoil which is a gem of a game.

    Super Metroid

I remember playing it when I was a nipper but I didn't like it at the time, I just didn't get it. But since I love the GBA games and Prime an unhealthy amount then I am go and buy it right away and try not to piss myself in anticipation. Oh, and just.........buy it guys....... *points and gives intense stare*
  14. To answer the question, we have more money than sense and in my case where I have little money, it makes me worry about the amount of sense I have. It is hard, this month I am going to try not to buy PGR4, Orange Box, Metroid prime 3, LozPH and a cheeky copy of Silent Hill 2 are coming this month and I think that will be enough. But PGR4, Valkyrie Profile and I did end up getting MySims so I guess I need a new job, one with lots of pay and only requires two days a week.
  15. Oh god if I here one more person bang on about the PC version of Half-Life 2. Sorry, but I have a few friends with PC's that could power, run and improve the Galaxy and I just get constant greif when I say I'm really looking forward to this on the 360. Its mainly Half-Life 2 and its add-ons that I really want, the others are just nice extras. I had it for the Xbox but never finished it, but this time. And mouse and keyboard controls suck, They make great games feel like your navigating your desktop.
  16. Even though I am happy as a Wii60 owner at the moment, it seems that the Wii is pandering to the casual gamer more than I would like and 360 releasing FPS's to the point of nausia (same as the last Xbox), I think I may pick up a PS3, there is nothing now, but 18 months - 2 years down the line, who knows. Yet again the selection of Wii and 360 games might get more diversive but it might just take a handfull of strong exclusives to sway me.

    Mysims (Wii)

Gave in yesterday and bought MySims. I have to say that this is a strangely compelling game, after messing with my in game avatar by giving him a pink pants, blue hair combo and making a house that wouldn't look out of place in Balamorie, I went out into the main game. It mostly consisted of going on small Animal Crossing style tasks such as fishing, being nice/nasty to people and shaking trees, all to get mentioned "essences" used to design the colour of furniture, making the furniture exactly as blueprints say is easy but its when you decide to add your own touches such as adding small details which is infuriatingly hard as the bits never go where you want. But they go in eventually so what the hey. Theres more to the game but I realise that I'm rambling, basically its a strong and enjoyable alternative to Animal Crossing.
  18. I'm really looking forward to this, a new Zelda game is always awesome. I don't know much about how this game is gonna work but I have purposely kept myself in the dark about it, if theres one series you can do that with and not be disapointed, its this one. But whats with the lack of love for Metroid Prime, shame on you all.

    Halo 3

I'd be up for it too, I'm also up for that GTM v Now loading thing but I doubt I'll get a look in, theres alot of people interested.
  20. sambob wrote: You fucking tell him Centy, get back in your cage part time gamer, and dont come out until you know the difference between the versions. Its embarrasing, I have the worlds knowledge at my finger tips via the world wide web and I still manage to talk shit, by the way if you finish Super Mario World in under two hours, you find out he's a women.
  21. Well shut my ill-informed mouth,:pinch: Still a great game, knowing its a new game I would pick this up now, if I had a PSP that is, lets see what Santa brings me.
  22. Wasn't this was a remake of a snes game (possibly ps1):S Anyway I got this for the GBA and its a great turn-based stratergy game, really deep battle system and the level in which you can customize your army is fantastic, and probably even more so with the psp version as I understand it has extra character classes. If you enjoyed Fire Emblem I would really recomend this.
  23. I never compare a handheld to a home console, non of the previous home consoles changed my opinion on the GBA. It just boils down to the games, and there are games on the handheld that you can't get on home consoles and visa-versa, and I will be playing and enjoying both. No favourites in my household.
  24. Cheers Hendo but I went away and its done, don't get close. I was sick of it so went at it like a man possesed with my sword, starting to realise how handy that is. But I think I'm starting to fall in love with this game, just got to the level at sea and i'm getting the hang of it. Its just so much fun leaping around using your sword to knock back missiles at the people who were stupid enough to fire them at you:evil: its even managed to keep me off Halo 3.
  25. I really couldn't get used to the default controls, I wanted to move but I would switch to auto target, using the type C set up it kind of reminds me of PN03 and I just get in that way of thinking. I'm using the classic controller. I havn't been on it lately, but Hendo, are you me talking about the same boss because it doesn't seem to shoot bombs (to my knowledge) and there is no pillar, I have to knock this one off the top of a building, and I'm ashamed to admit its pretty early on.
