I liked the music in this game. Not saying it is the best this year or anything, neither do I think it is the best versions of these tracks. But it’s just nice and jolly. It goes with the old school sound FX as well. I think my next game will be DQ5. But we’ll see if I even get to another one. The back log is real.

Not to be a downer but all the other ‘secret’ areas are actually harder than the Clock Tower. Just focus on getting better upgrades and gear and experimenting with builds. Any area is hard if you don’t have the tools for the job but once you got a bunch of stuff to work with it’s a lot more manageable.

Now I’m sitting at a campfire with a bowel of stew listening to a woman sing a song I don’t know. This game is fantastic.

I’ve literally just done the bear mission so I have no opinion it either way right now. But I have been randomly killing basic animals along the way because why not, I just wasn’t sure what to do with them. I kind of love the sim aspect of it. I sleep and bathe and eat all the time. I only have a shower in my house and haven’t had an actual bath for like a decade or so, so I’m watching the guy take a nice hot bath with candles and am like “Man, that looks nice” and then for 50 cents a girl comes in and scrubs him for him and I’m like “MAN, THAT LOOKS NICE” I like this part of the game. It is relaxing. I think in terms of atmosphere and environment/Set dressing and stuff it is second to none this year. It’s a wonderful world to just be in and set up camp and slowly trot around on the horse. Finding the trapper was in it self like a tour of the wilderness. Up mountains, through forests, across streams, passing other people riding their horses and it’s just great. Must have taken me 10 minutes to get to where I was going but it was a great 10 minutes

There’s a dub of Kill la Kill?
-
I sold the legendary bear pelt did I do that right or should I have crafted that?
-
I mean I can spoil Goku Black if you want. It’s confusing but I think I got it You’re watching the dub aren’t you, hmm ?
-
I really didn’t like that storyline. But I won’t say why because it will spoil it ?

I really don’t understand what I’m supposed to do with the animals in this game. Some are used for crafting, some of them can be skinned, some of them can be eaten, some of them can be sold, some of them can be donated. How are are you supposed to know what is best for what? And how do you even do some of it? I bought a dead Turkey back to camp took it up to the camp’s butcher and couldn’t figure out how to give it to him. So I just skinned it instead I don’t like being confused

IGN puts out a short but nice little tribute to Stan the Man

So I was standing on the edge of a cliff just admiring what the game looks like. Started messing around the controls because I couldn’t remember what they were. Got my gun out and aimed it at nothing. Couldn’t figure out how to put it back in the holster. While aiming I pushed the X button (Xbox) and my guy dived of a cliff to he’s death. Think I might need to start this game again ?

For someone who has only ever played XCom 1 on 360 and dabbled with Fire Emblem on GBA how different is it and what are the big things/hints/tricks to know going in? I’m excited to play it but people saying it’s very hard is worrisome

Uh, both Watchmen and the Dark Knight Returns were heavily delayed books, and ended up being the most celebrated comics of all time. I really think it depends on the event. I mean Secret Wars ended after the comics that came after it had already started, and people still love that. Doomsday Clock also has the added benefit that it’s supposed to be a year in the future of current DC comics. Although going to bi-monthly is the joke. It will have taken current DC comics nearly 2 years to catch up to a year in the future. That is why there has been a lot of, pretty decent, but filler events in the mean time such as The Button and No Justice. I’m not trying to be a Doomsday Clock defender. I’ve read all 8 issues and can remember about 3 of them. It is never going to live up to the Watchmen name or rep, that’s pretty clear. But I do think it’s quite good. It’s just a bit slow and made to feel even slower by the delays. If it ends with with a bang I will by the hardcover version when it comes out. I think there’s really cool stuff in it. I just think it will be served better as an actual graphic novel and not a bi-monthly comic

A few years ago they did a thing called Before Watchmen. But I wasn’t really reading comics at that point so missed it. People disn’t seem to like it very much by what I gather. Doomsday Clock is a really slow burn so far. Made even slower that the book gets delayed all the time. Some of the issues are great, though. I think this will be a thing that reads better once it is collected in a trade or something.
