  1. I'll have to get back to this at some point. I think I finished the main story then went back to the start to mop up a few moons, got distracted by other games, then that was it. And I didn't even know there was another ending. Although I suppose there must be when you think about it?

  2. Play

Torna, the golden country. Definitely a whiff of fresh summer air in this XC2 expansion. This already has most hours clocked on my Switch, and should grab another 25 by the end of this little beauty.

    Want

    Smash

    Bin

I've had quite enough of RDR2, thank you very much. I know Blakey thinks this is pure hyperbole, but I did actually nod off several times while playing this, during those horrendous horse rides to mission points. Never a good sign.

Like @RikSP, I too have jibbed Facebook. It's not a philosophical stance, just a realisation that no one I know actually posts on it anymore. Used to have a laugh on it but now no one's bothered, and now my news feed is primarily women taking pouty selfies or pictures of their drinks on nights out.

  3. Yeah, it's £59. And, to be honest, I hate that you have to pay more for a download. By rights it should be cheaper! It's just that for multiplayer stuff like this (and Mario kart, Splatoon etc) I like to have it on the system so I can nip in for a quick fight/race wherever and whenever. Then I have the card slot free for whatever single player game I happen to be playing at the time.

Which, as it happens, when Smash comes out, will be Octopath Traveller.

    I'm very organized.

  4. I now have this preloaded on the old Switcheroo. If anyone wants a barny when the time comes you'll be glad to know that I'm utterly rubbish at this and all fighting games.

I just like the pretty colours?

Mainly because I have no idea where that bloody image is... I went with the first image on my laptop, some pet rats i once had....

    Hey, Noozles!

I'm the same with my Dancing Mario avatar. That thing seems lost to the GTM mists of time.

  6. This game is just so great. I'd already put over 100 hours into XC2 before this came out, but  it feels as fresh as ever. I've got Jin and Mythra already and couldn't be happier.

I love the way Jrpg developers have embraced modern QoL expectations. You can just play this as you like. No stress. No frustrations. No hours lost to an unexpectedly tough boss.

If only certain western Devs would take note.

  7. Just started Torna, the golden country, which begins with a nice battle corridor to introduce a major twist on the fighting mechanic from XC2.

Now you've got to watch gauges building on both sides of the screen. Nice. God knows what I'm supposed to be watching the actual fight with!

  8. I might be done with this. I can't bear any more 3 minute long horse rides to mission points - missions which generally involve yet more lengthy horse riding and then, if you're lucky, a quick burst of action. The whole thing is just too much like hard work.

  9. I too preferred God of war to this. But then this follows the tried and tested Rockstar format (in the missions anyway) and that's getting a bit old now, at least for me. God of war was pretty fresh, to be fair.

    *runs, trips, clutches knee...*

  10. I have to admit I'm just mainlining this at the mo. I mean I'll still do bounty hunts if they come up, as that was an enjoyable side activity, but I'm sort of ignoring strangers and those little white dots that denote a random commotion of some sort.

It's made me a bit more relaxed about the game, but I'm aware I'm sort of playing it wrong. Then again, I don't ever do much side stuff in GTA games either.

  11. @Jimbo Xiii I can get under three hours gaming, but it takes 2 and a half to charge it. It's more convenient for me to do all multi media stuff on my phone (like typing this)! It's only a Moto G6 but it lasts forever and has turbo charging. Then my Switch can do its thing.

Then again, Switch is my main gaming console, and since it came out I've played only 2 games on the PS4  (GoW and RDR2). So it's getting a bit of a break at the moment but I generally game on it every day. I can understand how that won't apply to most people, and having some apps might be useful.
