Exactly, its like a football team, the name is important but the players are the key. The personnel changes often, and a game is only as good as the team that made it and sometimes you get this awesome team and then the game comes out and the team disbands and there arent any guarantees that a sequel will be good, on the flip side a sequel could be way better. Ultimately the people that are to blame wont go under, and often dont go under and dont give two fucks if anybody else does. Its not a pleasant industry and hasnt been for a long time now.

Theres a streamer or two legitimately streaming this today, but only to a certain point. Im getting genuine deciders anxiety about what weapon to pick, half minded to go with an 'out there' weapon and then just make it work.

Long sword is about transition the right moves into one another and then understanding the charge ability. You need to be getting consistent hits basically, it's a good weapon and doesn't take all that much to get used to I'd say, although its not necessarily in the beginner friendly bracket.

I wont put my PS4 through the ten hours of updates it will need since I last turned it on then...poor machine. Actually i should probably start updating soon, Im sure @Sly Reflex wont let me forget to do that in preparation for the big day.

Is the beta still live? when does it go offline?

I bet there will be some sort of DLC along at some point for new mons, or some expansion etc, worry not.

They were advertising for a dev that successfully implemented this exact thing a while back but took the advert off their site when all the shit went down with BF2.

Having a truly terrible time of things at the moment, hoping i can salvage it with one or two good games before bed, just getting shit loot. Edit: as i typed that I got into a fucking horrendous game and got punched to death even though i got the first hit in, im like a bad gambler at the moment.

That's how I felt for ages but it didn't really stop my enjoyment of the game. Getting a good team where everybody communicates well is important but you can solo it too, just takes practise.

The Ys games are great. A certain dangerous man loves them so he will be happy, or whatever it is he does as a substitute.

Ten years ago...

Finally got my first win last night, couldnt believe it. I picked this up again after a few days and its just clicked, im getting loads of kills now and im generally doing really well, had quite a few funs games last night, one in particular where i died early on from a two player shotgun ambush in the tunnels, and then my duo partner went super saiyan and just started taking out entire teams on his own.

Lots of good stuff there, but what really caught my eye was that Faie game, the floaty platformer. Souls on Switch is potentially huge, I hope that takes off.

Ha, in all seriousness I think its a really cool thing that players have done this, and whilst it actually happens for most games, theres always an online community of older players that can help newer players, the way that this is being done distinguishes the game's player base. Its a hard game with a steep learning curve, its like a dark souls in that respect, but what seperates it is that its fundamentally a multiplayer game. Now theyve never quite got the multiplayer element to take off like they would have liked it to but I think this installment will be the one that cracks it, and especially when you see the success of Breath of the Wild and its similar core values, its like a multiplayer BotW with an emphasis on the gear levelling side of things and so the stage is really set for it to do well and again like the Souls games, its fanbase actually really wants it to do well.
