Well that makes sense. How is HUNK the 4th Survivor though? That has always puzzled me. Claire, Leon, Ada, Sherry... That would make him '5th'?

*That is certainly not the impression I got from the last page or two. I dunno, maybe it's because I was raised on Mega Man, Battletoads and other such gems of the 8-Bit era, that I can't take the "difficulty" complaints against this game seriously. I mean Hollow Knight is far removed from the "die and go back to the start of the game". There are (ample) checkpoints now, for those who are struggling in learning the controls through experimentation within the environment. Much like the opening section to Super Metroid, that intuitively teaches you the controls merely shaping the tutorial section around them, without a single button prompt. The only take home "Souls-Like" thing I get from Hollow Knight (having played countless Castlevania and Metroid games prior, to the point I view official comparison to Dark Souls as just ignorant) is GIT GUD. This game rewards you for learning the ropes. That is where Gamer Skill comes from after all.

Indeed. They literally spent 20 minutes together, yet the ADDDAAAA! scream was supposed to signify more than that? So @Nag Did Brad make it into 'B' Scenario?

That relationship was really... odd, in the original RE 2. Certainly not natural, in light of how much time they physically spent together.

Probably, although I don't really know how far I am into the game (there seems a lot of map still to uncover) one of the best games I've ever played. Fresh off completing Mario Odyssey and trading in the disappointing BoTW, I felt the urge for a bit of a nostalgia kick when I first got my Switch. I picked up Shovel Knight, Super Meat Boy and this. Really didn't take to Shovel Knight as much as I thought I would. SMB is a casual reflex game, for when I have a spare minute. There is something about Hollow Knight that I like more than Metroid, perhaps more than Symphony of the Night. Can't put my finger on it though. I am taking my time with the game and noting every little secret I need to return to later with some such upgrade.

I did wonder what they would do with DLC for a REmake. Given there is no more game after HUNK and Tofu.

If they have done this much with Mr. X, I can't wait to see how they revamp the constant threat of Nemesis.

Along the lines of Lindsay Ellis is a YouTuber I follow, who I believe has worked with her in the past: Dan from Folding Ideas This would be his newest video. His critiques are often pretty insightful and on point. Someone who has a genuine eye, not just for films, TV, video games etc but the processes that go into making them behind the scenes.

I hear REmake 3 is actually already in development. Apparently from the same guy (online) that predicted the release date for the Chris DLC in RE 7, among other things. They are awaiting the success of this game before dropping the reveal. ? Strange, reading through the thread, Mr X was made prevalent in the 'A' game. He was the main surprise of the 'B' game traditionally, alongside the reveal of what he is, under the trench coat. Seeing the reactions I expected. Some I shared myself after playing through the demo a couple of times on my brother's X-1. For the time being I can't go any further than the demo. But I was pleased to see the end of the demo confirm HUNK and Tofu!

Soo... Issue #3 AKA THE GAME CHANGER ISSUE Whoa! if you thought you had an idea of where this story was going from the first two issues, this issue is the... ..Moment. Other than the cover, to post images or discuss story beats in detail would be a massive spoiler. Which I am not in the habit of doing, as I think it pretty dickish to do so and ruin other people's surprise. Suffice to say, Leader-1 ain't no Optimus Prime! I was invested before, but now I really can't wait to see where Scioli goes with this next! 9.5/10

That's not assumption, nor is it childish, that is how these things work. The number of reviews I read wherein if something scores below an 8 or 9 (out of ten) It is considered "trash" or if others vocally hail it as the Second Coming, the reviewer is called out for "hating" on whatever the piece of media is. It is "all or nothing" now, that is the current knee-jerk reactionary state of the internet. EDIT: My standpoint is that of cynicism towards the honesty of the review based on the language used, albeit paraphrased. I'm on the fence with the game itself. Nemesis was my favourite of the Original Trilogy and I prefer Silent Hill to Resi as a series, regardless.

@DANGERMAN As I said before, from this review, the reviewer will garner the rep as "that guy who hates Resident Evil" or "the Fanboy who hated the remake" etc etc Marking down something old for being old, is not valid in any media.

@DANGERMAN What did he expect a remake to play like? It would be like bemoaning a HD Collection for having no new content. As @AndyKurosaki said, it misses the point entirely.
