Hyper Light Breaker

An actual sequel to Hyper Light Drifter. Though the original was a 2D Zelda-like with a gun and fast paced movement, this is supposed to be a full 3D rogue-lite action game. The actual trailer is only a cinematic trailer but looking at the type of action it’s showing it could be like a character action game DMC/Bayo style perhaps.

 

A cinematic trailer, yes. But the intention seems pretty clear so I’m ok with it.

It took me a minute to click with HLD but when I got it I loved that game. Super cool, bleak, spooky, discordant, neon nightmare action game. Solar Ash that came out last year. Good. But never finished it and thought it was a bit disappointing honestly. I’m interested in this though and one to keep an eye on. Hopefully this is a good sequel. More HLD, less Solar Ash.

Looks cool. Looks like a natural mix of HLD and Solar Ash.
