radiofloyd
Loaded up my computer this morning and everything had that Windows 95 look: I mean everything was all grey. My McAfee had a warning saying "Security Centre is turned off" so I tried to enable it and it said the service controlling this program is disabled. So I went into msconfig and all my services were disabled. They had all been disabled on 21/7/2013 at 08:00. I enabled all the services that had been stopped and restarted - thank fuck everything went back to normal. Weird though! What the hell do you think happened? radiofloyd
Yeah it's weird. Could be those windows updates, I had something astronomical like 31 updates not too long ago when I shut down my computer. Usually it's only two or three though. RoboticMonk3y
sounds like it started up in safe/recovery mode. often happens if you turn off your pc at the wall before shutting down, but sometimes (especially in the heat) hard drives throw a hissy fit probably nothing to worry about, run a full virus/malware scan if you're worried though. radiofloyd
Ah thanks. Will do when I get my cooling fans! McAfee is another program like Steam that sends my temperatures into overdrive...
