About 7 hours played now, upto Level 51 :D

Done a mix of Overkill, Very Hard, Normal and Hard heists today, made a shit-ton of cash and gone up a fair few levels, fallen back in love with this game, so bloody awesome!

There's a new Heist out in the 25th as well based in a Vegas Casino which sounds awesome.

I've been playing quite a bit with randoms, doing high level stuff, and surprisingly, mostly completing them!

I did one earlier that was the highest difficulty and we made it through, the xp and cash levels were insane.

I've unlocked some pretty sweet toys for my ghost girl. Next on the list is the ability to knock down enemies with the jammer, then jack cameras so we can just walk past them and then work on getting the drill stuff.

I'm past level 50 as well. Played the night with randoms and KC. Seen pretty much the whole spectrum of players tonight, right through from capable to complete shit. Normally I go easy on noobs because they need to learn but I've had enough of their shit now. If you idle, you get kicked. If you grief you get kicked. If you waste charges in the medic and ammo bags you get kicked. Ignoring the shouts of your team to bail? That's a kickin'.

Man does it feel good when you get people that actually understand what a team is meant to do. I even got some friends requests tonight out of playing like you should do, so that's nice.

I'm quite surprised there so few of us that've picked it up on PS4. I thought the guys that enjoyed the co-op stuff from Destiny would have jumped at the chance to play something similar, but in a different vein.

Yeah I've been playing almost exclusively with randoms (apart from a 2 hour stint with Sly) most of them are pretty damn good, especially the guys that have already prestiged (or whatever you call it in PD2) with 1-51 in their level, some noobs but that's to be expected really, most of the guys I've been with have been more competent than myself so that's a real plus.

Favourite mission has to be the Hoxton breakout, did it on Very Hard with a load of high-level guys, got so far through Day 1 then we all got downed in the car park right near the end, one insanely good guy managed to stay alive until we were all let out of custody and could complete that day, moved onto Day 2 and finished that as well, such an awesome mission.

For anyone that wants to join in on PC it's discounted on Steam until the 21st June to £5ish if you wanna jump in, such a great game with oodles of depth.

I think those earlier missions we should maybe clench our teeth and go for very hard and see what happens. Just use common sense on the escapes with the bag moving and I think we'll be alright. More chance of courier packages too. They're quite small levels so we should be able to get in and out for the needed loot.

Jewellers, Four Stores, Nightclub and maybe the Diamond Heist. I reckon we can totally do those without any issues as long as the randoms that join are clueless. We had a pretty lucky run today with our kooks. I thought that level 1 guy was going to be awful, but I saw him doing good stuff. It's dudes like that that restore my faith in people online. They saw what we were doing and copied. That's all you can ask.

That guy that kept throwing the thermal drill into the boat on the train heist!:facepalm:

Up to $4.6m in my ready account, $45.6m in my offshore and level 60. Just fleshing out the bits I'm missing in my build and then I'll be done. Probably just in time to reset it all and start from the beginning again. Or I could have a look and se how the other class swap thing works, quite fancy making another build I can swap between dependant on missions.

I thought you said you tried several times and couldn't do it? The Big Bank one is the one I thought you were talking about.

I'm pretty sure we could do the normal bank, I've done it before, not on Overkill though. What did you do with the 5th guard? Was he dominated in the saferoom so he was out of the way?

That very hard diamond store we did at the end was a tight thing. I think maybe splitting off to do those ATMs and car dealerships are a bit of a stretch for us, unless there's 4 of us. At least then Cloakers and Tasers can be dealt with by the person they don't hit so that we don't have to gauntlet run we had trying to rescue people that strayed too far from the pack. I'm genuinely surprised we made it out of there, I thought once the bags were all over the plaza and we'd been downed a few times that it was all over for us. That break in the waves came just at the right time, just a shame the next wave claimed Small as that would have been sweet getting us all out.

I had a bit of a research about stealthing through missions and it's bad bad news, I'm afraid.

You get four pagers. A pager will have to be answered when a guard dies or gets dominated. That means only 4 threats can be neutralised compared to the 5 we were used to.

It gets worse. You know when we were in the Art Gallery and Bain reported that they were putting more guards in the level? Well that guy comes in at a random part of the level and walks about for around 2 minutes. This in itself is quite bad. The worse thing is that he doesn't follow any traditional path, instead choosing to go where the fuck he wants. The problem here is that he could go into areas where we have people tied down or body bagged. It's a bit of a shot in the dark because he might circle the things that's going to set off an alarm, or he might walk right into them and ruin everything. Once he has done his patrol he will exit the level and leave you to your own devices.

Knowing this information I think it's best to try and avoid killing guys we can get past and focus more on dealing the the camera guy as he's usually responsible for more coverage on levels we're trying to pass through without alerting anyone. If we get rid of him and 2 others that gives us space to kill one more guy before the roaming dude comes in and more than likely bollockses everything we worked on up. Killing the 4th guard should be a last resort, not the end goal like we've been treating it.

Now it's a case of watching from a distance which enemies we can dispose of and which we have to deal with. It's made some levels impossibly hard, especially those that are crawling with guards. I'm going to go out on a limb and say unless we get really favourable generation stealthing our way through most of these levels is never going to happen, unless you game the system by running past potential alarm triggers so quick that the red exclamation never gets time to trip.

I think using the art gallery as an example, you need at least 2, probably 3, on the roof spotting.

Get the paintings out as quick as possible. Most likely the guy in the lobby will have to go, plus the security room guy. That leaves 2 remaining for emergency.

There should be a few safe places to sit and wait for the guards to pass.

Edit:

You'll need to dominate the guard in the security room. Buying the camera feed is also a great help. Watch this.

That's old footage. It doesn't matter if you dominate or kill him, he still counts as one of the four pager uses. If you can loop the cams you could possibly get around having to deal with him at all. You can sneak past the guy on the front desk as long as there's no cameras pointing in the lobby by using the statues as cover as he looks turns to look between the hall A and hall E corridors. It's probably best to deal with the cam guy asap, since there's usually cameras up the wazoo in most levels.

Can you use the crouch and highlight things to spot stuff on your own? I thought that's how that worked.

Hit level 70. Not quite sure where I should be spending my points now. There's things that look alright and I know would be beneficial, but I'm not sure I'd get the most from them for the cost of me investing in them.
