Done. Better than I remember it being to be honest, well the game itself is. I didn't need to bother following the story, just getting the gist of it works. Its hard to get more than the gist by the way its told through those maps and profiles with a voice over during the loading screens. The big dramatic stuff in-game is fantastic but the rest could be done much better and MW2 looks like it does the same thing. Oh well, still a great action game, though.

Well you can't have to much MW2, can you. I think most games should do the upload thing, I know a few do but I want more.

Even Lost Odysee is on three discs so theres a good starter. Who cares about the 360 version anyway? FFXIII is best on teh Blu-ray.

Before MW2 gets in my mitts I'm gonna play through this again, just on regular though, I'm doing it on a purely story telling reason. I was thinking that MW2 is probably the the first one that directly follows from a previous game (maybe WaW did from CoD3, I dunno, I never played that one). Its just I don't remember a whole lot form CoD4, I remember the nuke bit, the end and that television station bit from trying to do it on veteran and giving up (I think I did get past it though, but it was still a major slog). Its just when I play any game like this whether it be GoW or Halo I don't pay that much attention to the story as it doesn't seem that important, I'm gonna pay attention this time and find out the craic and I will on MW2 aswell, to see if it can push boundries as much as some of its scenes point too. I was intending to get through it in a few days but I'm having trouble climatising to CoD gameplay since its been about two years since I played any of its single player campaigns, I keep running ahead like its Halo or summet. Story wise everything seems set up so far.. just need to get passed this bit I'm on..

Played and finished Borderlands this week, the ending was a little unimpressive but then it isn't really a game thats story is important, I don't actually remember any of the characters names or anything, I just got the gist of a mission and had my fun doing it rather than wanting to find out what would happen next. Still playing bits of Left 4 Dead's Verses mode, even though I've played it quite a bit now I'm still useless with a Hunter, I will take a Boomer over own anytime strangely. I'm doing the forum Forza 3 shindig which was fun until Spatular came and spoiled it for everyone with his fast time and shit. I've also been putting more time into Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story which I'm really enjoying, I wish I could get in the habbit of playing my DS more because it is the most light-hearted, charming, and enjoyable game I've played in ages, you just don't get this type of thing on home consoles. A really brilliant piece of work. Oh yes, Jak & Daxter. Finished that during the weekend, a game that has taken me this long to actually "get" and start enjoying. Its not clever or anything, just a bit of simple fun which I think you need to play ocasionally to stop all the browns and gun metal greys from taking over your head. I ordered Jak II but its still sitting in processing so who knows when I can tell you guys about it. Yup, thats it.

They arn't patched, with The Lost atleast you could really tell the scenes that were made that game and the ones that are just taken from normal GTA4 because the graphics and animation in the new scenes are so much better. When the graphics went all crap that was the exact same scene as GTA4's.

Done, finished my first play through and I've killed that 9-toes guy on a second play through. I heard the ending was going to be crap but I wasn't prepared for that, it really is a bit toss.

The only way that will happen is if you get yourself on the podcast, dunno if anyone else can reinforce your opinion. I listened a few days ago but have nothing to add this week to be honest. I suppose you can have a pat on the back for your efforts.

I was expecting it to be well over £100. It isn't practical for me so I won't get one, unless I have a place of my own by then.

I played the remake of the original Valkyrie Profile on the PSP, I didn't get into it at all, the story and characters were dull and the concept of a game with a time limit just didn't appeal. The combat was pretty nifty, though.

He's probably got yours, you should check if you're missing any Halos too.

Yeah, I knew a thread like this already existed but I thought a themed thread would be okay, maybe talk about games going under the radar in a general fashion.. and since you are playing MW2 it makes your post void in here anyway.

So what will the rest of you non-CoD players be doing this month? I think I'll be finising up Borderlands, giving Forza 3 a little rest (apart from the MFGamers Time Trial) and putting more time into Mario & Luigi: BIS. Will also play some Jak II and Muramasa when they turn up. Also some Left 4 Dead and other bits and bobs of other stuff as it takes my fancy, too. There are plenty of other things to do.

Yeah, I'm sure IW are made up of staff that worked on some of the earlier Medal of Honour games, atleast thats what I remember from when the first CoD that came out, it was kind of selling point. I only played That Medal of Honour game that started on the beaches at D-Day, I also played the quite dull sequel to that one set in Japan. I can't say I'm clambering for another game like that one came out recently.

I'll playing it sooner than I thought, I heard through the grapevine that Santa is gettinng me it along with Batman: AA. Nice one, Santa. >>MW2<<

And thats that done. Only got 79% but I killed the last boss so that counts as finished as far as I'm concerned. The last section and the last boss had me spitting fire (I did think the eye was always the weak spot so it made killing it a problem) but I did really enjoy it, so much so I have ordered Jak 2 for under £8. Looking forward to it.

But gadgey boy likes his choppers so thats all I use. He doesn't like those hair dryers.
