  1. I haven't tried the 15 part time trial yet but I'm sure I can do it under 14:30 now because I did the Outrun version of it in 14:11 which included an utter fuck up on that New York part. 4:33 is my best on the 5 part bit.
  2. You can do that. At the same time too.
  3. Does anyone want to try it out sometime?
  4. Lies, I'm 22nd in the PS3 world on Route D, funny thing is, it was a run I know I could do better, maybe number one isn't so out of reach.
  5. I didn't know you could change the difficulty, I'm just playing it default I guess. I can beat the 15 courses no probs but I don't think I'll ever do it in 14:30, there are to many oppertunities to fuck up. Multi is a waste of time, I'm not patiant enough to wait for them to finish and the only game I did play was a 15 course race and I was miles infront, giving them a permanant back end view of my Tesstarossa but every one quit half way through.
  6. One of the things I like about games like this is being on top or chasing the scores of the people on your friends list, I don't care about global ones because they are mentalists with mentalist skills that I will never beat, I could beat the feckless tits on my friends list though... buying it on PSN was a bad idea though because I am the only one who has it. What the fuck? It's a good job I bought a new 120 gig HD for the 360, the idea was to get multi format downloadable game on PSN (more space you see) but fuck that because there is no community. Impressions? Aye, s'good.
  7. Now if you're giving up on wee feller like that one then you won't make it much further. I got to the last one, I was climbing it over half an hour and I fell off... absolutely gutted and I never went back to it. I do like SotC, the flying one where you have to spring along side it with your horse and jump onto it's wing is immense and it is full of great moments but I'd take Ico over it.

    World of Goo

I didn't think I would but by Christ I did, I finished it! And why shouldn't I? One of the most fun, charming, intelligent and best games out there. I couldn't believe it was offering up new challenges until the very end. Bravo, 2D Boy.
  9. I keep meaning to go back to God Hand, started it on easy and got my arse handed to me by that moody guy who turns up in the cutscenes early on. I then started a game on the normal setting and beat the big Mexican guy myself but I never went back to it, shiny new games came my way, I must go back to it though because I love every moment I spend on it.
  10. I've been dabbling in a few games lately. GTA4 was finally finished, Where I picked it up again was just as it was getting interesting again and I found myself really enjoying it, just a well focused example of sandboxing. Rock Band 2 is constantly being played but I think it will be given a rest soon. The only songs I can't manage very well are the metal songs and I don't think I'll ever be able to do them, I occasionally scrape through them but I can't say I have fun in the process, when it comes to the drums the metal thing applies again but I also can't seem to do anything that involves quickly rolling on the hi-hat (Everlong, Teenage Riot e.g). Dishwasher is the final thing on the 360, it's just a 2D scrolling beat'em'up with a combo system taken from modern examples of the genre, pretty damn fun if a little hard, looks nice too. Killzone 2 was also completed over the long weekend, overall I thought it was pretty good but I can't decide whether Nico or Rico or whoever was one of the worst characters devised or the best. Essentially an unlikeable moron but the fact that he is your superior in a questionable war does seem familiar from somewhere, he brings out a healthy sense of hopelessness. After finishing Madworld my Wii has seen a ressurection with me, Art Style: Cubello offers up a little puzzle action for me and World of Goo has been played alot, I thought I'd finished it but there are levels in the epilogue section too, I failed it but I think I know whet to do so I'll be playing that more. I don't think I've mentioned how fucking good I think Goo is. I've also just started LoZ: Majora's Mask on the VC too. If I'm honest I'm struggling with it, I keep missing things because I have a terrible memory and the fact that you have a time limit makes me go all panicky, I think I'll have to go through it with a little notebook, making little notes of who says/wants what and when/why. But all that other stuff was done with a spare hour here or there over the month because most of my allocated gaming time has been on Persona 4 which is just an incredible game. I'll leave it at that. That's a few games too, safe to say there are some friends and family that haven't seen me in a while. I should maybe show my face around one day.
  11. I saw there second album advertised on a website which linked me the the myspace sight just recently, before then I had no idea they had more material coming. I wasn't blown away by the track the had up but I've still ordered the album, I think I'll still like it as a whole.
  12. Ah. I couldn't get the online service to work for me so I had to phone them up (with every stage of the answer machine tellimg me I can do it online, no I fucking can't, for the fith time!) and eventually got through to a charming, young lady. Essentially the label was posted to me in a box, I guess thats why then.
  13. They send you a box too. The label will be in it.
  14. The AI does go mental. There was a few points where Carmine would grow epic balls and try and take a load of Locusts on his own, we realised that the AI would do this from time to time and we'd just keep up with them and be all brave and/or stupid and use awesome shooting skillz. I just thought it was because you were meant to speed up at that point in the level.
  15. Funny. It went went perfectly for me and my buddy. except that the 'ment didn't show up for finishing it in co-op but I don't give a fuck about that so it was all good for me.

Yes, he does die. *Skakes fist at a horde of Giant Rad Scorpians*

    Fallout 3

I love it. I'm waiting until they up the level cap so I can play it some more.

    World of Goo

Funny you should mention that one, Sly. I just managed that one myself today. One of the signs does give a nice clue pointing out the best way to do it or I can just tell you.
  19. I guess it good be a general Art Style thread. I might get Orbient when I've had my fill of Cubello, which might be quite soon because it's either quite hard or I'm just shit because after bitzing through the first five stages I've hit a big wall now, I just can't seem to do the stage I'm on now, I don't know what I'm doing wrong either. I might just be really unlucky with the game refusing to give me useful cubes or I really need to reasses my stratagy.

    World of Goo

I'm stuck on a too, I think the level's called the third wheel. It involves having to a sticky goo and a couple of dead goo's to navigate a spinning, spikey wheel. I can't seem to predict how my goo's will react and I'm not quick enough to deal with it as it comes. It's about half way through chapter three.
  21. I promised myself if Nintendo did something about the storage on the Wii then I'd try out more WiiWare titles. So here we are, now with the ability to run direct from the SD card I'm trying out this game after hearing a little fapping about it. Impressions are very good, the only other puzzlers like this I've spent a bit of time on are Tetris, Columns and that bumble bee thing on Sky, never tried Puzzle Quest or Peggle and other more modern takes on the genre. Because of my lack of experiance with these I'm really getting into it, feels fresh. What this one makes you do is clear a group of cubes until you only have the core cube left, if you match up four or more cubes of the same colour then they vanish and make your quest to getting to that core possible, this is done by using the Wiimote to fire coloured cubes, hopefully at the corresponding cubes to make them vanish. Firing also makes the structure spin making forsight helpful for getting the best out of your moves. I'm really enjoying it, it's got the nice combination of a thoughtful puzzler and a sort of action game, using the WiiMote to get the cubes in those nooks tests your reactionary lightgun skills and at 600 Ninty dollers it's not a bad price either for a quality edition to the genre, maybe WiiWare isn't as void as great games as I thought. It gets the DC seal of approval.
  22. I'm drifting into a similar feeling myself. I'm not gonna stop entirly but I'm thinking of severly limiting the games I buy to only a handful a year and if I do want to play something then just put on something I already have. I'll try to do that anyway. Hopefully my plan to move out will force this on me. It was Killzone 2 that inspired the change, it's a perfectly good game yet I jut can't find much passion for it, GoW2 would have suffered a similar fate if it wasn't for the co-op. Gaming forums I'm getting tired of too, might just lurk round here eventually.
  23. The gun slinger required some liberal use of the lock-on button. It was also the first time I realised that the horizontal motion doesn't register that well although no-one else in reviews and such has mentioned it, they all say the controls work really well so I don't know if it's just me, being incapable of doing a sideways swipe properly. I think commentary is varied on the part most then it suddenly gets cought in a loop in some areas.
  24. Fuck it, all of them. I have the skills. They managed to get some kind of note chart out of the Silversun Pickups songs so with a little stretch of the imagination the same could be done here. I still have RB1 kicking around so depending on the time and the place for multi. I would recomend just getting RB2, it has a much more worthwhile multiplayer mode.
  25. The guitars are really hard I found, Even Flow and Why Go proving to be a real pain. Gonna have to up my game. They're awesome on the drums too. Siamese Dreams next please.
