Overall I thought the conference was great but still lacked a little special sauce to make it a truly great one. If FFXVI or Silemt Hill had been shown that would’ve elevated it to a 9 or 10 but for me it was a solid 8.
Ratchet and Clank looked absolutely mind blowing. Going through those different dimensions just melted my brain, proper cutting edge Next-Gen gameplay, great to see!
Demon’s Souls, Miles Spidey, Horizon 2 and GT7 have me very excited. I was also really impressed with Kena and Stray.
Deathloop is from Arkane, which are one of my fave devs but I have to get my head around the MP aspect to it before I can get fully on board. Not sure what to think of Ghostwire, visually looks great but gameplay I’m not sold on yet, still early days.
I think there were maybe a few too many indies in there, the middle lagged a bit but was helped by the beginning and end of the conference.
Think this is the beginning of the PS5 hype, gonna have plenty more games to show in the coming months I feel. I know there’s some August PS5 event apparently.
I really didn’t think they would show the console but they did and I think it looks fantastic. Bold and pioneering, not just a boring black box, good job Sony.
