CoD 4, Orange Box, and Metroid Prime... only joking! Umbrella Chronicles really. So GotM now doesnt matter about releases, its just about what youve been playing? Well, those are the only three games i think ive played this month... I hope this doesnt start getting out of hand and we start seeing Mario Galaxy every month!

It has come to my attention that my Wii might have a problem, it doesnt appear to be a major one, but annoying none the less. Basically when i turn on my Wii and select an option i.e. Wii shop or a game, it goes to load then stays on a black screen. The only solution is to hold the power button on the Wii untill it switches off, then when i restart it straight away it doesnt have a problem loading the game or whatever. Has anyone else had this wierd problem?

I dont see why giving it a clean should of broken it, unless you were particuarly violent...? Just check all the connections and boards are securly fitted is all i can say really

Sounds good, but isnt having 3 games complicating it further? Maybe downloadable games should get theyre own award though? Like Live Arcade and VC games battling it out?

I've been slipping with the updates recently, anyway - Just so its official: UPDATE 04/01/08 Harvest Moon (SNES) 800 points I've never tried a Harvest Moon game either, I wouldnt of gotten into Animal Crossing if my mate hadnt of given me a go on it. I would probably get unhealthily into it if i tried it, which is why i wont bother! Im hoping the updates are gonna get more frequently good soon. I too am hankering for some Body Harvest. I hope the Rare situation sorts itself out soon as some Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 action wouldnt go amiss either.

£34.99 at Play.com for 12 months is the cheapest Ive seen it anywhere on the net. Unfortunately its out of stock at the moment, but Im sure Ed'll pop along soon with a cheaper alternative

You should get it automatically when you create your gamertag through your xbox. I didnt get mine either because i created my gamertag through the xbob website on my PC before i got my 360, and so downloaded my account that way...

I guess that depends on the 'more of a nod towards nintendo aspect' that Hendo mentioned, maybe a Nintendo one and a other formats GOTM as well?

I dont think this game is amazing by any stretch, but i do find it fun and etertaining for like hour long bursts, It is after all an arcade shooter, that shouldnt really have too much depth to it and that you wouldnt play for any serious lengths of time. Having said that I'll probably finish it, max out my fave weapons, do a few levels again and never play it again. My point is i found it was worth the purchase :laugh: Oh and i reckon ill try it again when i get the zapper!

If were playing by the rules, then my vote would probably go for Resi Colonicles, but if were shafting the system here then its gotta be Metroid 3 While were at it why not make Super Mario World game of the year?

Might work out okay as we've had a talk about how much were spending on each other, and if i did get her a DS plus Brainz trainingz and such then i'd of really blown the price match out of the water... ...Could work for me on brownie points though

It's my own fault. I've been Umming and Arring over what to get my girlfriend for christmas. I have got a few bits and bobs, but as for a main prezzie i have nothing as of yet. My first thoughts was an ipod... but they cost loads of money for a decent one, and i managed to drop a hint when we saw an advert for one and discovered that was a big no-no. So the other day i had the amazing brainwave of getting her a DS. She's on mine all the fucking time, and she complains when i take it out with me... Reality check: No-where has them in stock. Been around every bastard place that might sell 'em an theyre all sold out. Even online at places like shopto.net that claim it will be here for christmas eve. Ho-hum. and im pretty much working everyday till christmas now so ive gotta decide, do i hold out or do i flinch and just buy some other stuff to make up for it. Bah Bloody Humbug!

My favourite gaming moments have been mostly on the 360 i believe. Forza 2 is such a good racer - so much better than Granny Turismunds. CoD 4 - Perfection in a shooter. My fave PC games were Crysis and ET: Quake Wars. Divine. There's not been a great deal of DS action this year, no massive possitives anyway - Final Fantasy 3 and Zelda: PH were both dissapointing, Zelda less so than FF3. The Wii has had quite a slow year for games, the VC has been helping to keep its head above water, but the lack of HD support for the older VC releases leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. Although Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3 and RE: Umbrella Chronicles have shined through like the gems they are. My worst moments of the year have to go to Assassins Creed and Bioshock, despite them both being good games in theyre own right they both suffered from over hyping. They were both touted to be genre changing messiah's, but both ended up being either repetitive or "quite good". word.

CoD 4 on veteran is insanely hard isnt it? CoD 2 makes this look like a cakewalk though... I'm over halfway through CoD 4 veteran, and im stuck! Got syuck in other places before but managed to find alternate routes. Now though it's just impossible. *sniff*
