HandsomeDead Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 I'd say there is the other aspect of Tomb Raider being a direct follow up to a story started on multiple platforms (and if you want to play the stats game; both Tomb Raider sold most on PS3, and even the Definitive Edition sold best on PS4 (in terms of consoles)) so of course a lot of pissed off people are gonna say their thoughts. This new Silent Hills isn't that. They're singular as it is and this seems more of a reboot, especially since a lot of new creators are involved so there are less people attached to what already exists. In fact Silent Hill has been a wayward series for ten years now. You can look at it in a basic manner but it's the subtleties that fuel these reactions. I'm not saying it's okay for one and not the other. I'm just pointing out why people react to one in one way and differently (or indifferently) to another.
