Digital Camera's

Any idea's?? Im after something compact to take biking with me. Something with a sharp picture and able to take action shots. Normally i use my trusty DSLR but the pictures i took on holiday where just so dull and lifeless. The guy in jessops told me that the camera was old and nowadays the standard is better in these compacts. Plus the hassle of lugging it round an airport last summer was a pain.

Any suggestions? anyone have a digital one they would recommend?

A mate just bought one for his missus for Christmas, was under 300 quid I think.

Can't remember the model number or owt but it's small enough that you could fit in your pocket and the stats seemed pretty good.

I realise this post is useless but hey I'm answering.

Cheers Hendo, ive got about £150 to spend, or i could use the same amount to get my dslr fixed, but then its still the hassle going through airports. Had to strip the thing down when i went aboard in the summer.

i'm no expert, anyway bought one of these off ebay a few years ago, it was old when i bought it but i think its pretty good and would guess you could get a more recent version on ebay for under your budget if you wanted, but i don't know much about the newer versions..
