Hendo
Picked this up cheap in the Steam sale, plus Minerva's Den so now I have all Bioshocks on the PC.
DANGERMAN
I've just finished a revisit to Minerva's Den and even though I knew the twist it's still a great ending. The rest of it though, I think it must be Bioshock 1 that has a radial wheel for the weapons and plasmids, that's sorely missed in this. There's some great moments though, bits you kind of know are coming but still work for tension. Regarding the twist, it's less that that's still affective, and more there's a recording right at the end where Porter tests The Thinker's ability to imitate his wife, you've heard clips of him encouraging her to record her thoughts all the way through the game. The reaction when he finally gets what he wants is brilliant, the best bit of the dlc and as good as the main games reveals
Hendo
How long did it take you? I've got a hankering to play through it all tonight before I go to sleep, would like to do it all in one go.
DANGERMAN
7.9 hours according to steam, but you could probably get through quicker than that (it felt like less time)
Hendo
Wow, I remember it taking like half that before, but maybe I just zipped through it?
DANGERMAN
yeah I'm sure it's shorter, steam might have got itself confused, but I do tend to inch my way through Rapture
Hendo
Lack of auto-save strikes again. Took my time taking in the sights, got as far as harvesting or saving the first Little Sister and the game crashes. Lost about an hour. Started again though and picked up everything I could find but a bit speedier. Now I know to save as much as possible.
