  2. Don't worry Part Time Gamer, I'll be there at the PAL release to play with you. To be honest, I've never understood all the fuss that gets made over the Smash Bros. games. It's just a button masher, right? I can wait, etc. Roll on Mario Kart Wii.

I've done all the WarioWare's now.

    Gran Turismo 5

Big bump now that Prologue is almost out in PAL land. This is really weird, the wing mirrors are opposite to what they should be showing? Check these vids out to see what I mean - Click here.

    I want a PS3

How many games do you need to list to justify purchasing a system? I have three that will be out this year: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue WipEout HD LittleBigPlanet No current releases take my fancy however, although there's probably some stuff on the PSN that I would check out. I would like to try out the PS3 to PSP connectivity, also. The smart person in me says to hold out for a possible price drop or a Dual-Shock 3 bundle, but the other 95% says to get one now. I think i'll hold off for a bit and see if it's just a phase I'm going through. I did go and find a HDMI cable for £3.55, though. Maybe I'll get one in preparation.

  7. All the retailers are showing that this is out on the 20th, which is tomorrow, a Thursday*. I won't be able to get it until next Friday unless I finish Lost sharpish (shouldn't be hard) and trade it in (supposedly worth £25 trade), but I'm definitely going to get it on 360. *EDIT: Ah yeah, Thursday because of Good Friday, d'oh.

    GotM March

Probably my final list, although I may put God of War in next month as well to give it a chance of winning. God of War: Chains of Olympus (PSP) Apollo Justice (NDS) Peggle (iPod Nano) (seriously, I'm addicted)

    I want a PS3

FFS. I saw a Sony advert during the Formula One today (they now sponsor F1 on itv instead of Honda, also) for the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue PS3 pack. And damn it if I don't want one. To top if off, I received an email from GTPlanet earlier, as I used to frequent their forums when I was a GT4 whore. It showed impressions and various screen shots. It's got last years Ferrari Formula One race car in it! And the F40. But yeah, this time last week I had no intention of purchasing a PS3 until at least the Dual Shock 3 pack is released, you only need to read some of my previous posts to see that. But now, at £299 for the PS3 + Prologue pack, I'm sorely tempted. Karen saw my eyes light up when I saw the ad, asked me when GT5 Prologue is released, to which I said under two weeks. She said that we have the funds spare and could get one, but I said no we can't do that! To be honest, it's only GT5 that interests me on the PS Triple at the moment, and the forthcoming Team ICO game. If it's a multiformat game I'd more than likely always go for the 360 version. The progress you make in Prologue will be transferred into the full game, so this almost makes it worth getting. So yeah, sorry for the blog post. lolz. :pinch:
  11. I'm getting seriously hyped for this game now, I reckon it's going to be fantastic. I'm keeping my eyes firmly on the rllmuk thread. Some mini game clips HERE, featuring Ghost Squad, NiGHTS, Monkey Ball, and more. Ben, are you going to be getting this? It looks to be the ultimate in SEGA fan service.
  12. Condemned 2 - 8 Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - 7 Army of Two - 7 Pirates of the Burning Sea - 6 Lost Odyssey - 8 Worms: A Space Oddity - 5 Bully 360 - 8 N+ - 8 Boogie Bunnies - 6 FFXII Revenant Wings - 6 Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, Battle March - 7 Dark Sector - 7 Audiosurf - 8 Jack Keane - 7 Medal of Honor Heroes 2 - 6 Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War, Soulstorm - 8 Is it just me or has GTM gone downhill considerably over the past few months? I'm considering not purchasing it anymore and just sticking to my EDGE and NGamer subs, but I'm so weak when I see it on the shelf, and always end up buying it. I think I'll get this one and decide from there.
  13. And the main game is done, at five hours. This may seem quite short, but I think it's an ideal length. It gives you nothing but the best pure action from start to finish, leaving you completely satisfied when you complete the game. I forgot to mention, there is the odd cut scene every now and then as you proceed through the game, and they look pretty stunning, with full voice acting throughout. I have unlocked the challenge mode now, so I will have a little look and see what that's all about, and also have God mode now, which is meant to be super tough. I may leave that alone...
  14. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360) - 02/01/08 Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (360) - 23/01/08 Pac-Man CE (XBLA) (200/200) - 27/02/08 God of War: Chains of Olympus (PSP) - 14/03/08 A fantastic game from start to finish. One of, if not the, best PSP games that I have had the pleasure of playing. Epic, and a technical marvel.
  15. Super R-Type is a good 'un. It's nowhere near as good as R-Type III: The Third Lightning, though.
  16. Same day as SEGA Superstars Tennis, two weeks tomorrow! I'm at around four and a half hours now and I think I'm nearing the end as my health and magic bars are both at their maximum, as well as all my powers. It's been epic thus far.
  17. I've been playing this more at work on my breaks, in ten minute chunks, and it really is fucking amazing! I'd play it more at home, but I want to make the game last a bit longer as I've heard it's pretty short. I'm around two and a half hours in now, according to my save, and it keeps getting better. There's been a couple swimming sections which I am never keen on in any game, but the controls are still holding up well. The audio is excellent too, sounds great through my Sennheiser earphones. A couple work colleagues were super impressed when they saw what this game could do on the PSP, it's certainly one to show the system off with!

  19. S0L on rllmuk wrote Demo will be nice to have, but I'm pretty certain I'll be buying this no matter what.
  20. This arrived through the Retro letterbox this morning courtesy of videogamesplus.ca, and I have managed to have a little play at work today on my breaks for a total of around 45mins. I must stress at this point that I haven't played a God of War game before, although I do own the first one! The first thing you notice when you start playing is how fantastic everything looks, and how smoothly it moves. Chains of Olympus is certainly the most technically impressive PSP game I have played. Gameplay wise, it plays pretty good indeed. The controls don't appear to be hampered in any way, it plays really well and so far no crazy deaths have happened due to poor control set up on the PSP's part. It's actually as good as I could imagine it ever getting on a PSP, it's that tight. Save points aren't too far apart, which is good. So far I've killed a couple small bosses, taken out hoards of other enemies, and done the naughty with two chicks. Yeah, that mini-game is in here, and it's awesome. I've also upgraded my weapon once over, and am collecting more orbs that will allow me to continue getting more and more bad ass. The puzzles have been simple, push a block on to a switch etc, which leaves you to concentrate on the hacking and slashing. Thumbs up from me, an essential PSP game.

    Burnout Paradise

    Excellent!
  22. I think out of those ten games listed, we've had it pretty bloody good. The only one that I don't like is that we always get the evil Kirby on our boxes, when he should be all happy ala Japanese version. At least the manual cover for Squeak Squad has him all happy. I think the PAL RE4 Wii Edition art is fantastic.

    N+

Yeah, seeing that confirms why I won't be purchasing the full game. Games with similar structures to N+ compel me to reach the end, and not being able to would infuriate me beyond belief.
