Time to download Mario 64 from the VC You know you can use a GC controller, right?
Hendo
That's true, but a Classic Controller is built better for the old games, in my opinion. A better D-pad for one, let's face it, the GC pad is far too small.
relmatos
The Virtual Console games dont seem to respond to the Gamecube Controller I got. Maybe it's cos it isn't an official controller. Since Mario 64 doesn't work with the wiimote, I had to wait for the classic controller to get it
retroed
The Classic Controller is a thing of beauty. Still, a bit confusing why you can't play GC games with it, as it has all the buttons (and an extra Z) and analogue triggers. Maybe in the future, or possibly some all-new VC games will make use of them. But, what is that 'clip' thing on the back all about?..
moggymatt
I thought people had got the Classic controller working with GC games, arse! That sucks big time, I sold one of my GC pads and got a classic one to replace it.... hopw ninty get this sorted, as ED said theres no reason it shouldn't

I heard it was originally meant to clip on to the Wii Remote, but they jacked the idea in. Also, there's a 10% discount code for ChoicesUK if you haven't already ordered, TECH0107.
