Hendo Posted May 28, 2010 Share Posted May 28, 2010 The new Guitar Hero is indeed subtitled Warriors of Rock and will be released on PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.That's according to a preview in Nintendo Power, which for some reason the mag has posted on its own website. This time the developers have narrowed the series focus back to "guitar-centric rock n' roll", with a lot of handpicked songs, after Guitar Hero 5 went a bit off-piste. That's not to say anyone's upset with GH5's legacy. We weren't the only people who loved it - developer Neversoft (PS3/360) and Vicarious Visions (Wii) are keeping things like Party Play mode and other "cool features and things" that were in last year's version. More details will be revealed at E3 in mid-June, but we already know that the new Quest mode is narrated and fronted by Gene Simmons from KISS. The Wii version will have a few special features, too. People who also own a DS will be able to create custom setlists using the handheld and engage in co-operative and competitive mini-game multiplayer modes. Look out for more details at E3. Nintendo Power has the game down for "fall 2010", and recent Amazon postings went for September. Here's the scan. illdog Posted June 8, 2010 Share Posted June 8, 2010 From C+VG: Activision has unveiled its new "rocktastic" Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock guitar peripheral.The new customisable plastic axe houses all the essential parts within the neck which allows for removable 'wings' to be replaced with alternatives. This new guitar controller was apparently inspired by the game's art style and over-the-top story mode. David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer for Guitar Hero has called the new Guitar "rocktastic," the nutter.
