Dunkster
Bought this yesterday - in fact the only copy to arrive at Lees Games - our local indie. Even as one of Jak's most ardent fans this is quite possibly the worst game in the series - yes I'd say worse than even Jak 3. A budget release can mean only one thing: all the Naughty Dog love & high production values are long gone to be replaced by a PSOne draw distances, scrappy visuals, a dodgy camera & woeful accuracy. This is a huge discredit to the franchise, a PS3 resurrection is their only hope of survival, if it ever happens..
Bob
That doesn't sound promising... Are you playing on PSP or PS2? I played the demo on the PSP and the camera was horrible, I assumed this would be fixed on the PS2 with the second analogue stick though. If not then I'm not really sure I could be bothered with it. HandsomeDead
Oh dear. I'll still try the demo, though. Eurogamer were quite positive about it.
Dunkster
Oh dear. I'll still try the demo, though. Eurogamer were quite positive about it. I'm playing it on PS2 and for some reason it just doesn't feel right for some reason, who knows maybe the PSP game's better?? Mind you some PSP- PS2 ports can have that "washed out" look, not really playing to PS2's strengths. So last night I stuck on the original and it was love at first sight all over again. No dis-respect High Impact Games, but I want Naughty Dog back!
RivaOni
Haven't Naughty Dog confirmed they're working on a PS3 Jak game?
Bob
Haven't Naughty Dog confirmed they're working on a PS3 Jak game? I don't think so. There was a leaked 10 second video a while ago that had no textures and Naughty Dog have said they would like to go back to Jak and Daxter, it's just that they are far too busy kicking arse with Nathan Drake. Maybe J&D with go the same way as Crash Bandicoot. Or maybe, just maybe Insomniac and Naugty Dog will finally team up for a Jak and Ratchet crossover

Given Uncharted's success and the recognition its brought them in places, I guess you can hardly blame ND for remaining committed to it. I think right now they're more likely working on Uncharted 2 DLC than a future Jak, but we can dream can't we?
