A Space for the Unbound

A Space for the Unbound is an adventure game set in Indonesia in the 1980s. It’s about a couple of high school students but there are magical elements to it too, which gives it the atmosphere of something like a Studio Ghibli or Makoto Shinkai film.

 

 

 

I’m impressed with it so far. If nothing else, l would love to see a Final Fantasy game made in this style.

Nice looking at least

I played a lot of this yesterday and today, about 5 hours into it now. Gameplay wise it’s very simple but it’s a charming game otherwise. There’s something about the music that reminds me so much of PS1-era Final Fantasy, or maybe it’s just the school setting combined with the music that is reminding me of Balamb Garden.

 

It’s going to have to improve to rise above being a 7/10 though.
