Learning Web Design

Urahara may be learning web design so I figured here would be a good place to have our own beginners guide with any links and what things mean in the real world.

Anyone got any questions on web design in general or this very site, plonk them here.

Anyway, I learned from a (rather hefty) book on HTML and XHTML and XML.

Hyper Text Mark-up Language

They're all pretty much the same kind of thing - basically, the language used to write stuff that will get translated into a web site.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

These centrally control things on the site - like instead of writing on every single page what the text colour would be, how big and what font, you'd write it once in the CSS file, link it to the pages and it does it for you.

I googled it and found this site which seems pretty decent with free tutorials.
