Xenoblade Chronicles X

Just a heads up - there are four download packs ready to dl before release date for anyone buying the disc version. Not essential but will speed up the loading or something – 11 gig in total.

Had to dig about a bit in the Wii U estore, but under the game, there's an additional content (or worded similar) tab where they all are.

With Xenoblade Chronicles 2 releasing worldwide for Switch on December 1, Monolith Soft president Tesuya Takahashi has told 4Gamer.net he would like to see a Switch version of Xenoblade Chronicles X, which was released for Wii U in April 2015.

Find the exchange below:

4Gamer.net: Is there a chance that we will be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles X on other hardware in the same way that Xenoblade Chronicles 1, which was released for Wii, was released as a New 3DS title?

Tetsuya Takahashi: Personally, since there are times that I happen to want to play Xenoblade Chronicles X, I get the feeling that it would be nice to play on Nintendo Switch. Of course, that it something I will think about while discussing user demands and future plans with Nintendo.

I never beat this on WiiU but I can't remember why. Probably a mix of other stuff coming out and the game more or less forcing you to use the Gamepad, even though it wasn't really suited for big games like this. If there's not much else going on at that time I might get it a second time to see it through. The fact that it isn't linked (I think) the to main three games and their DLC is also a bonus, that kind of put me off giving Xenoblade 3 a shot.

This one was less story heavy so I don't know if the additions will help turn that around.  I mean it's not really the intent of this game.  It's more like a JRPGification of something like Subnautica, just that it has those objective based survival games about it.

I never finished this either so maybe it could be worth having another look at.

Last year I finished XB3 and restarted and completed XB2 and tbh I dunno if I can stomach anymore. I loved that first one when it came out on the Wii, despite some complaints with moving NPC’s and stuff, but honestly this series is 1 for 3 for me and starting to wonder if liking that first game was time and place thing.

Still do want to at least finish the DLC for XB3. Apparently it ties all the games up in a really crazy way
