Rush'n Attack : Ex-Patriot

The original version of Rush'n Attack was on the arcade, they put it on XBLA a few years ago, I assume it's still there:

I know it as Green Beret as it appeared on C64 (pretty good conversion, considering)

This is a brand new entry in the series and you get a kind of Bionic Commando : Rearmed or Shadow Complex vibe off it but it doesn't seem to have quite the depth of those, certainly not on a par with Shadow Complex.

You run around in the shadows, hide in doorways and stab dudes in the face - what's not to love?

There's the odd gun but it's mostly all about the knife. Also it's very linear so you might go a little off the path but there doesn't seem to be the Metroidvania of Shadow Complex.

For the record, I've only played the trial so far but I'll be picking it up for sure either when my digital backlog is emptier (unlikely) or when it inevitably goes on sale in a couple of months.

Try it, it's pretty good!

Have to say i hated the original, it was so damn hard.

I wernt expecting for this one to look so good!

Its alot easier too

Seems to be a standard side scrolling shoot em up. I did love killing someone from the ceiling, i laughed a bit too much.

I won't buy it for 800 however. Mabe 400.
