I'm gonna piss about in the Everfall again for awhile, try to get to mid/late eighties then hit Bitterblack isle again... see if i can kick that bosses arse this time.

And just look how badass she turned out... bit of flashing works wonders on toughening pawns up... its also a good way of getting them rented out more. I'd deleted my save before i heard about this expansion so i didn't receive any of the perks for playing the original, bugger. EDIT... just want to say if you have pawns that are a higher level than you it effects the amount of xp you receive from kills meaning you'll actually level slower.

If you climb onto a Cyclopses back then up near their head they'll try to grab you... sometimes knocking off their own helm. 22 is a little early for that Drake... bear in mind he's weak to ice so have a Sorcerer and Mage with relevant spells and if you can get his heart exposed he'll take massive damage.

I'll carry on using her as long as she remains a damage dealer... my Mage slot is already took up. Managed to kill that chained up GoreCyclopse yesterday, with the help of your pawn Bob... then hit another wall in the shape of a fucking massive ugly ... some more leveling in order, methinks.

Fast travel opens up quite abit in new game plus so it doesn't seem such a ballache getting where you want to be. Think i was around level 50/55 when i tried pushing through the dlc... waaaay underpowered. My aim is now to dragonforge everything my pawn uses, which means i have to become a Sorcerer for awhile, should be interesting.

Agree with a lot of what you've said there, Bob Glad Tika worked out for you, been using you're pawn since she was around the late twenties... it's been fun watching how you've developed her and how she's grown, she's also one of the more interesting pawns in the rift. I've just started a new game plus after getting my arse handed to me by a GoreCyclopse in the dlc... well actually it was my pawns getting their arses kicked and me getting mine kicked while trying to revive them.

Don't wait for tutorials... there aren't any really. Muck about with skills and such, you can change vocations at any time and mix and match augmentations between classes.

Sambob, i'd follow the main quests until after the Everfall (if you haven't been already) then strike out on your own abit.... and get rid if the high level Pawn its probably giving you a warped view of what you can handle, my first time through i never went more than 5 levels more than my character. Monkey.... is it your first time buying the game?, if it is even 20/25 quid is a good price.

Is there anyway to edit the thread title for this or am I just being dense?... thought it might be worth just adding the "Dark Arisen" subtitle to this rather than starting a new thread if people want to talk about the recently released expansion. I had the game delivered on release day from Amazon for just over £15 (bargain) and I've put in a few hours so far.... gonna be awhile before I attempt any of the actual Dark Arisen stuff, I've a feeling you're gonna need a fairly high level character for that stuff. I'd forgotten just how much I liked this game, so far I've barely touched the main story and have been running around just building up my main and pawn stats for some of the more juicy lower level vocation boosts. My pawn's end game will be a high spell casting Sorcerer (again ) and i'm concentrating on the Fighter class, that'll probably change further into the game though. Have to say, its been refreshing buying and playing a game and not giving achievements a second thought.... there aren't any new ones.

Most of those look like they could come from the main game.... i'll let them off though as the game itself was fucking awesome, i'd love to see a sequel on the next gen machines. Does anyone know if this a disc based expansion?.... and would you need the main game to play it?.

Finally got round to finishing this yesterday, while i enjoyed it i don't think i gave it the attention it deserved due to FoC getting released the same week. Unlike the first game i'm going to attempt an Apocalyptic run through.... i'll save that for quiet spell next summer.
