The Crimson Maid (Xbox S, etc)

Description from Steam:

 

"A marriage between first person exploration and visual novel, blessed with a sprinkle of puzzle gameplay. Immerse yourself in a period drama that intertwines romance with murder mystery, as a young cleric who must resist or give in to the charms of a strikingly beautiful maid."

 

So it's a very pretty looking walking sim, set across a handful of different locations, with the occasional puzzle (4x4 grid picture puzzles, and a few rotation lock type things) otherwise it's walk around click on some objects, interact with a few others, and make some dialogue choices.

 

Disappointingly the voice narrative only occurs occasionally between scenes, in the main it's just therefore a lot of on screen reading, but not over lengthy - and there is a nice twist that I didn't see coming to add to the overall mystery (and I understand a few branched endings).

 

Completed it in around 6 hrs, and it was quite charming overall.
