Another experience game helped by loud surround sound and playing in the dark. Still think the people who played it on Phones and gave it GOTY need studying though. They’re absolutely mental & might need help.

mfnick Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Did you play it on the phone and still think that??? Man, I just don’t get that thinking at all. Without the big screen and good sound it just loses everything which makes it good IMO.

Craymen Edge Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Cat Quest II (PC - GOG) Very much like the previous one it's a straightforward, enjoyable action RPG with a nice colourful art style. It was fun to just turn off my brain and wander around for a little while as a bit of a break from a couple of longer games I have going on.

Nag Posted January 9 Posted January 9 09/01/26 - Resident Evil 5 - PS5. Haven't played this in years, took a while to get used to the (bad) controls but ended up feeling quite at home with it in the end... really can't see this getting a remake though, unfortunately.

Craymen Edge Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Cat Quest II (PC - GOG) Oxenfree (PC - Itch.io) I'm taking a little breather after 20 hours in Yakuza: Like A Dragon to play some shorter things. I never paid anything for this one, but appear to own it on 4 different clients. A few little niggles - particularly the slow movement speed and amount of backtracking - but I enjoyed it, especially the dialogue system and conversations between the characters.

Unfortunately not much else. It’s basically a walking sim with a dozen or so (bad) turn based fights. Story was passable & only 2.5 hours. Even in that there’s too much back & forth busy work. I got by just on how good it looks tbh, that was enough for me. Completely frictionless too. Worth looking at if it’s ever on GP or PS+ otherwise don’t bother.
