Persona 4 Revival

As good as P3R was, I think the glossy style detracted a bit from its dark and isolated tone. I think if they use a similar style it will suit this game much more

I honestly don't see the point in this. I'm sure I'll sell well, but it's not like there aren't already ways to play Persona 4. They need to move on

Yeah, going into hipster mode here but I straight up don't get people's beef with playing the PS2 versions of P3 and 4. They look really really good, perfect examples of games which have not aged visually. Outside resolution maybe, and of course the games themselves have to be made available so in that sense it's understandable. But still

 

It means a new soundtrack though so that's cool.

The dungeons were a bit bland compared to 5 and refantazio so I guess they could try to make them a bit more interesting. Make the game shorter too, they won’t do that. Anyway I think there are a few improvements they could make so maybe worthwhile. I didn’t play the new version of 3 to know if they did any stuff like that though as 3 needs that stuff a lot more than 4 imo anyway

Yeah, I was about to say, for me this isn't about visuals but Persona 5 makes it kind of difficult to go back to the randomly generated dungeons from the previous games in my opinion. I'd expect they're going to do something about that with this remake, and also maybe reshuffle the balance a little bit (the first boss being the hardest in the entire game is a bit odd). I can see the point of this feeling a bit unnecessary but there's definitely some bits and pieces beyond the shiny exterior they can improve. Whether or not I'm ready to put 70-80 hours into this again, not sure.

I played Golden on the Vita (and got the bad ending) so I'd kind've like to revisit this on a big screen but ultimately I think it depends on what else is going on when this drops.
