Popular Post DANGERMAN Posted February 23 Popular Post Posted February 23 I've mentioned this before, and it's one of the reasons my #GamerCred is so high, but I have over 110 physical Dreamcast games, and I should probably play them. So I've started a Youtube series that I'm going to try to stick to where I work through them, as they're selected by a roulette wheel. I'm not necessarily going to play through and complete the games, but an hours or so at least to have at least played all these games * *there's a few games, like July, that I might have to skip if they're unplayable in Japanese. I've also hit a bump in the road where one of the games I drew doesn't boot, so that's an interesting wrinkle I need to sort 😅 7
DANGERMAN Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 Anyone who watched the 1st video will spot that this isn't the game the wheel landed on, I had some technical issues with it, but I've found a way around them now so I'll come back to that at some point 3
DANGERMAN Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 next episode is up Trizeal, a shoot em up that came out after the Dreamcast was discontinued, and the first of those post-death games I remember playing and thinking... meh It's not bad, but it doesn't stand out, and it's also not a game I hear people talk about, which is sort of a shame, but fully understandable 3
Maryokutai Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I remember liking it a lot and have fond memories of it, but there's a bunch of circumstances surrounding it that might have elevated it beyond what the game itself actually is. Came around shortly after I got my Dreamcast and discovered the genre, and it was also simultaneously my first import from Japan (I got the special edition with the bandana). So a lot of exciting 'firsts' – I want to believe I'd still enjoy it though, and IIRC the soundtrack had some stellar pieces. 2
DANGERMAN Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 It's not terrible. I think I'm still on the side of enjoying it more than I did at the time
