The action looks great and resembles Bayonetta sometimes. But this overall Stellar Blade/Beast of Reincarnation style or personality is a bit soulless and I don’t like it

I'm completely over this barbie doll character design and I haven't even played any of these games. There was this new Hoyoverse game at the show last night and it looked borderline Elden Ring in terms of art direction, and quite impressively so. Yet it had characters like this running around, torpedoing any kind of coherence and believability in its visual design.

As for this game specifically I can't get over how bad the dialogue is, too. If you told me most of it was written by AI I'd believe you. I still think the game itself look quite alright, but there are other games that do as well without the other caveats, so I'm likely giving this is a miss.

Looks like combat is very 'Stand' based.

I was right, they're fans of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

The devs go on to talk about all of the anime that has played a part in inspiring them as creators. "For example, in this game, knights appear and fight alongside Gwendolyn," they say. "This feature has a similar vibe to the Stands from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. We love JoJo, and you can see its influence in the way that the knights come forth and fight together.
