At first I thought oh it’s Disney x Dragon’s Lair but deeper in the trailer there might be some actual gameplay

I think most of it is gameplay, it's just that it uses very elaborate 2D animation for 'basic' things. A bit like Forgotton Anne, but a lot more finetuned. Definitely looks interesting.
