Using the Link’s Awakening art for this game is a smart choice. Really complements the cartoon-y and toy like gameplay of being able to play with objects in the world

First thought: Should have called this The Legend of Link.

Second thought: Aonuma really, deeply hates his QA team. After Tears this is the next nightmarish concept to get working. Wasn't expecting an isometric Zelda of all things to push so far in terms of features, but it looks intriguing. I'm not fully on-board, but I'll definitely check it out.

Skimming through the stuff shown, that's probably the best game on there. I still don't like depth of field in top down or 2d games (like that dragon quest one), it looks bad. But the emphasis on player driven emergent problem solving is so cool.

That said, Tears is on a whole other level cause of the physics systems so in terms of sophistication and having to QA, I don't think it'll be nearly as crazy as that.

I saw the one in the spoiler tag yesterday and actually, that’s going to be the ending of the game, I think.

Very on brand for Nintendo to just casually announce a second main feature that might just be as impactful as the copy ability in a trailer with a cute little horse in the thumbnail.

I wonder if it will be annoying that you can't adjust the angle? Or at least, it looks like it...

It might be the Link’s Awakening Remake engine but they couldn’t be making more of a different game. Really like the focus on quests and all the different characters.

A new trailer

I don’t know why this trailer is so long and slow. But good to see there are still traditional Zelda elements in this game. A dark world, dungeons, etc.

Even more reveals lol

This started off as a “It’s like a Zelda game - but focused on environmental puzzles”

To “It’s a full on Zelda game”

Comes out this month. Pre-order already in.

The only thing that worries me about this game is in every trailer they show Zelda solving puzzles with the bed. I don’t know if they’re trying to lay in to a meme for marketing or if the bed is OP and ruins the game

Beds are OP though, I turn from a living thing into some unconscious, breathing husk when I lie in them. Super scary. Ganon doesn't stand a chance against the power of the bed.

FF producer loved the game

Quote

FF14 and FF16 Producer Yoshi-P says The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is the most amazing game he has played recently because of how it reuses assets and focuses on fun gameplay!

"All of the recent games are fun, but I was particularly impressed with 'The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.' What I am about to talk about is a bit nerdy, but even from a producer's perspective there were many points that made me think 'Wow, that's amazing', in terms of how they used resources, how they made it, and the game design."

"In fact, the base resources used in the game are almost the same as other Zelda games. That is to say, the production costs were kept to a minimum by focusing all the efforts on making the game fun to play...

I would encourage anyone aspiring to become a game developer or who is just starting their career to try playing this game from that perspective. For me it is a very noteworthy title."

Looking forward to playing it when I get a Switch 2
