Really feels a bit like E3 this year, with cool random announcement popping up left and right. This is a remake of a PC adventure from 25 years ago, a game heavily inspired by Myst and also the foundation for what will later become the Syberia series (reminds me that I still have to play The World Before).

 

I don't know how Microïds is funding all these games but I'm glad they do. Looks pretty neat.

Not sure what's more amazing - that they are remaking this, or that 25 yrs ago wasn't some time in the 80s but just back to 1999 (and all that fuss about the millennium).

Rather beautiful trailer I think. Like mentioned towards the end there's a demo available now. I tried it a few days ago, but went in with the wrong set of expectations. Because it's now fully real-time I thought it would allow you to free-roam its environments (to a degree at least) but in hindsight I can totally understand that not making it point and click would have blown the budget out of proportion.

 

Not sure if I'll find the time for it this year, or ever, but I hope it does well.

I think I saw this previewed by Grim Beard a while back, he was really looking forward to it iirc
