This completely flew under the radar for me, it's just an overwhelming amount of stuff coming out. Putting this on the list for next year or something, considering I already played the original and don't really like Shadow as a character anyway. But it's good to hear/see that this didn't retroactively ruin the best 3D Sonic but seems to be on par, mostly.

I like Shadow until I start to think about it. Shadow is the definition of a cool drawing and nothing else. I just can’t understand why the ultimate life form is black Sonic on jet boots but predates Sonic by 60 years or something. It’s like the ultimate life form can’t be Sonic then…then Sonic is the ultimate life form? That’s not even what Sonic is about. He just run very fast zooming. Shadow has just never “fit” in the world of Sonic to me. Even though Shadow looks and has always looked super cool
